  1. hey guys, I have downloaded several missions from the dcs site and in a few of them when I hold 0+1 to snap my view to my radios it actually snaps me to left mfcd. There seems to be no way to edit this inside the mission editor. Is this due to the mission being created in an earlier version of dcs a10c or dcs world?

  2. Hey everyone, my buddy came over tonight to learn how to fly an a10c. He purchased the game a month ago in preperation for tonight and he cant login. He does a "password request" from the dcs site and doesnt get an email. He checked his spam folder. I tried as well and im not getting one either even though I know my password and can log in. Are the mail servers down at the moment?
  3. That may be an appropriate test. We will test that out ASAP. Thanks NOM.
  4. Thanks for the reply steve. I understand your points and agree with them. I can assure you that the SPI I was sending to my wingman, and the one he sent to me were correctly on targets and not just on waypoints. Your second point makes sense and I appreciate the clarification, but i brings up another question. We were working a group of AAA in the mountains when this problem was occurring so the SPIs we were sending to each other were at 7000 ft asl. Could it be that the SPI, when sent to a friendly, does not register asl? This would explain why the wingman's TGP would seemingly float in empty space and be taken out of point/area track modes when the wingman tried to to slew to it.
  5. Problems with wingman slewing to SPI Hey guys, In multiplayer, I am able to send my SPI to my wingman. He recieves it as a red blinking dot on his tad. He is able to hook the red mark and make it his SPI. But when he tries to slew the TGP to the SPI, the TGP is taken out of point/area mode and floats elsewhere in the AO, seemingly everywhere but on the SPI. When this occurs if he looks at the TAD the diamond that represents where the SPI is pointing is definitely on the SPI. However, the instant he sets the TGP to point or area track mode the diamond leaves the SPI and shows exactly where it is pointing off in the distance. This is usually somewhere asininely far away from the SPI. We can guarantee that nothing is masking his TGP while he is trying to slew it because I had him send me a SPI as well and the same thing occured We even tried setting the sent SPI as a waypoint and the TGP still behaved in the same manner. I am at a loss of what we are doing incorrectly. I am amature with about 40 hrs of flight time while my wingman is just starting out. So he is new and still trying to get over the situational awareness hump that we all had to go through. Being able to send him a SPI and have him slew directly to it would be a phenomenal way for me to help him over that hump. And just so we are clear before anyone states so, the TGP is slewing no where near the SPI that I have sent him so it wont help to say that he just has to look around the general area first.
  6. Finding air targets and offsetting from my planes current position. Okay two quick questions about single player. When my omniscient wingman locates some anti-air defense and relates that info to me: (i.e. "Hawg 1-1, anti-air defense, 035 for 4") I am under the impression that he is using my position as a reference point. Is there a way for me to offset from my aircraft current position? When awacs starts making calls to me about enemy aircraft and giving me a BRA (bearing Range Altitude) is there a way for me to offset to find the aircraft. there does not seem to be a way to create an offset waypoint with elevation. So whats the best way to handle those calls?
  7. Thanks for the quick reply lange. I needed to be pointed in the right direction to get started. I will start d/ling dcs world tonight.
  8. Hey everybody! I purchased dcs a10 a couple of months ago not really know what i was getting myself into. Now I load it up every chance I get. I have put in around 50-60 hours of flight time and done some of the manual studying and would like to know if there are any clans that still run servers and such. This seems to have put me at a beginners level. I would love to learn the simulation by practicing as a wingman for a while, and would love to see how well MP runs because I want to suggest the sim to a couple of friends. I do not see any listings for live servers in the multiplayer list however. I purchased the game through steam and it is a few years old but I figure that some people have got to be out there.
