  1. Bingo fuel does not mean empty fuel tanks. I don't know why AI is jumping out :P

     

    "Bingo" call isn't supposed to be used as emergency call telling whell caller has just enough fuel to RTB?

     

    I confirm, wigmen called "Bingo fuel, Ejecting", after been hit by flak. I could confirm that with after mission briefing. Shouldn't they call instead, something like "I'm hit, I'm hit, ejecting"?

  2. Hello, is this a bug with DCS or P-51 or just limitation on comms? On P51 WW2 missions with wingmen, when one has been hit and has to bailout, he calls "Bingo Fuel, Ejecting". First time happen, I thought some my flight burned all their fuel, then I RTB asap in case other abandon their plane...LOL

    I would like to understand how to set a time on a key assignment because I can't.

     

    Every time I right click to choose the time to press the key i get an error message that says "the object reference is not defined to an instance of an object" and my touch then comes back to the time of 32millisec.

    I have same issue. So I manually change time in the text editor.

  4. Using Stable 2.5.6, from Mission Editor I select View Trigger Zone List and default radius for Sklad (btw. Sklad means Store) is 15 so I changed it to 150.

     

    Regarding UN Campaign, now I have Campaign completeness 97 % because I accidently pressed Complete button instead of Cancel after I failed one previous mission.

     

    Looks like we're both right, I see 15 on the colomn but 49 in the field. However the field is in Feet, then I assum the colomn is in metter. So I edited my post 49ft to 130ft (15m to 40m). The issue don't look to be with the zone but more with the Walker not going to their waypoint. Looks like creator wanted Walker to go to the house, stop 5 seconds during they do their communication, then go back (see picture below). By going to the house that would trigger the communication and activate marker for next trigger. Instead they run about mid way, so never enter the zone.

     

    To remake missions on Campaign, you'll have to remove misison your want to remake from your logbook.

     

    IMPORTANT to make a backup of your logbook before any change.

     

    Go to "...\Saved Games\DCS\MissionEditor", open "logbook.lua" with a LUA editor, delete all missions you want to redo. Note that missions are not in order in your logbook.

     

    Exemple, if I would like to remake missions starting with mission 12, in my logbook I would delete 15, 16 and so on.

    The other way is to change the integrity of the campaign with Campaign Builder. You could add the mission into the stage you're now or next one. Here again make a backup. However, you should not worry about the your mission, the UN campagn is made with one mission per stage, if you have at 50 points for a mission, the campaign will let to redoing it. If 100, then you go to next stage (next mission).

  5. I really appreciate your help. Mission success. :) I changed the value from 15 to 150, maybe they forgot the zero at the end. One more question: I marked one mission as complete even it was only 50 %. Is it possible to jump into it and complete it for 100 %? I do not remember which one it was. Is there any list of missions completeness, please?

     

    from 15? Which valu did you change? Initially the zone Sklad size is 49.

     

    You used the skip Mission feature on a previous mission and want to play it again? Instead to modify the campaign or log book, you may simply copy the mission into your Mission folder: \Saved Games\DCS\Missions and then play it. It won't affect your campaign.

  6. Hi all, trying to setup my Warthog throttle to include the full range of movement on the axies. Basically I don’t want to use page up or page down, and use my throttle to move the helo throttle full range up to idle detent then full power, then reduce it to idle, press the engine stop button and then reduce the throttle further to cut off.

     

    Now I’m aware back in 2014 there was a campaign to get the Huey collective to work like this, after for some reason Belsimtek chose to only allow us to use page up and down at the idle detent.

     

    Do we know if this was ever changed to the realistic way or are we still stuck with page up and down?

     

     

    EDIT - Can the mods please delete, as I see it was answered in another post. Sadly it does appear it was never fixed.

     

    Hello, Cowboy10uk, in case this can help you, here's how I setup my Wartog for throtlle. I simple pull my throtle to IDLE cutoff to shut down the turbine. On startup, have my throtle in IDLE cutoff position when I crank the starter. Then at 15% N1, I push my throtlle to ground IDLE position, then the turbine start. I use the LTB button as Starter button.

  7. Flyingfrog, great, thanks. I confused the Martel convoy with another one. Now I cleared what was necessary, Walker searched the tall house and I am waiting for the next instruction. All city is clear but the last word from Walker was hang on. :) Do you know what is going on now? What shoud be done? I tried to sit very near to Walker group but they do not enter.

  8. The "autopilot" in the Huey is a simulation of the co-pilot taking the controls. He can be commanded to orbit or cruise straight and level. It's rudimentary but it's a simulation of something the real pilot would have access to.

     

     

    Right, the Huey is a 2 crew helicopter. It would be nice to have an upgrade version of the Huey with a real AI copilot like the F14.

  9. Trying Aurora misson now. I set up UHF to 235 MHz. How to contact Martel convoy, please??

     

    jpuk, go to you waypoint, when your in the zone of Martel convoy and your UHF set to 235 MHz, that will trigger the coomunication with Martel automatically. You don't have to contact them manually. I didn't test with C-1611/AIC set something else of UFH (2). If communication with Martel don't start even UHF set to 235, make sure your C-1611/AIC is set to 2 and you're within 4900 feet of your first waypoint.

  10. Awesome! I’ll try that. How do you edit that zone in the campaign?

     

    Before making any change, make sure to backup the mission "\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\Uh-1H\Missions\Campaigns\UN-Pilot_14.miz"

     

    From DCS - Mission Editor, clic on menu button of Zone listing. Then from the Zone list, click on Sklad. On top right, change radius from 49 to 130. Save and you're done.

     

    Easy change. Hope this help.

     

     

     

    PS. I also found how to fix the issue with Mission 12 about your wigman firing on vehicules. On waypoint 4 your wigman has an action to attack the group "Karavan". Simply desactivate that action.

However, I don't know why, they don't go near enough of the house to enter into the zone (Sklad) even the waypoint is well in the zone. So I changed size of the zone SKlad from 49 ft to 130 ft (15 m to 40 m). That fixed the issue.

  13. Sorry I´m totally lost :cry: btw. the DCS-BIOS and DCSFP versions, could someone be so kind and point me to the right direction

    After a looooong absence from DCS I started all over again with my Switch Panel (PZ55) and here is my problem:

     

    Installed the DCS-BIOS v0.10.0 and the the DCSFP 4.0.39a..

    So there is no more DCS-BIOS Folder inside the SCRIPTS Folder and I cannot find any *.exe in the 4.0.39a Folder.

     

    I tried it with an old DCS -BIOS 0.7.1 and DCSFP 3.6.22 and it somehow works but only as a KeyEmulator.

     

    What is the right way to use DCSFP nowadays?

    First times on GitHub can be fast confusing I agree; which version to install, why some download haven't .exe file, what difference between DCSFlightPanels/DCS-BIOS and DCS-BIOS/DCS-BIOS, etc...

    There are downloads for developers and download for users. Go on release section to get downloads for users (with .exe file). About DCS-Bios, on first page of this forum, the link for DCS-BIOS bring you to DCSFlightPanels/DCS-BIOS main page and not on the release page. Clic on "releases" to get access to release versions for users. Please note that DCS-BIOS v0.10.0 is from DCS-BIOS/DCS-BIOS which is more for SimPit (Home Cockpit) builders. DCS-BIOS from DCSFlightPanels/DCS-BIOS is for DCSFlightPanels. If you prefer the easy way, go with DCSFlightPanels/DCS-BIOS.

    Anyone have seen this or might know why this happen? DCS can send data to my PZ55, I can see gear light can light on/off on my PZ55 but looks like DCS don't receive any inputs from my PZ55. I use Flight Panel P-51D.bindings (from DCS-FlighPanel-Profiles-master) with my PZ55 ID. I used it in the past when I was on Win7. I'm now back on DCS but now with Windows 10. No issue on key emulator mode.

     

    Windows 10

    DCS 2.5.5

    Module: P-51D

    DCSFP version: 3.6.22

    FP DCS-BIOS: 0.7.34

  15. Salut pilecan, je t'invite à faire la mission d'entrainement "Roulage". Il en parle brièvement aussi dans le manuel à la page 133. Il est question de bloquer et débloquer la roulette de queue avec le palonnier. Le manche vers l'arrière bloque la roulette avec le palonnier et la limiter à 6 degré. Le manche vers l'avant sers à la débloque pour faire des virages serrés avec les freins. Donc, pour la sortir de cette ennuyante position, manche vers l'avant à fond, palonnier neutre, freins sur la roue du côté opposé au virage que tu viens de faire, un peux de gaz et lorsqu'elle est redevenu droite, manche vers l'arrière pour la barrer. Lors que tu roules ou décolles avec le P-51, manche vers l'arrière, à moins de virage serré aux freins ou durant le décollage, lorsque tu à pris de la vitesse, manche au neutre.

    Pas de problèmes d'assigner les roulettes d'élévation d'antenne et de portée radar directement dans DCS mais semble pas possible d'assigner le curseur radar au directement bouton T1 car le Cougar est limité à six axes directement (donc un réservé pour la prise palonier)

     

    Pour assigner directement dans DCS, dans "ASSIGN. AXES",

    . roulettes d'élévation d'antenne: "ANT - Bouton", assigner "JOY_RX du HOTAS" Cougar Joystick

    . portée radar: "MAN RNG", assigner "JOY_Curseur" du HOTAS Cougar Joystick

     

    Si tu souhaites utiliser le curseur radar avec le Cougar, tu peux utiliser T.A.R.G.E.T v3 de Thrustmaster qui remplace les ancien éditeurs, il support le Cougar et il est plus simple d'utilisation. https://support.thrustmaster.com/fr/product/hotascougar-fr/

  17. Thanks Agent_wolf. It works fine but I had too many action inputs missing and for both Warthog devices, I had to find something faster. I found the issue why DCS reinstalled default devices with missing inputs and found the fix.

  18. I found the issue. I found missing Action Inputs in both files "Throttle - HOTAS Warthog.lua and Joystick - HOTAS Warthog.lua" from default files folder (/DCS World/Mods/aircrafts/Uh-1H/Input/UH-1H) had missing inputs. I removed them, deleted keyboard and joystick folders from (games/dcs/config/input/UH-1H) folder and relaunched the game. All new Action inputs are now available for both Warthog devices. :-)

    hitman...sound familiar to me. :-)

  19. Same thing to me. And even I delete the entire games/dcs/config/input/UH-1H folder, relaunch the game (even made repair), Still have Flare dispenser and some new fonctions gray for my Warthog Joystick and Throttle. :-(

  20. It really depends on the direction AND THE INTENSITY of the wind. Airplanes have a tailwind component limitations during take offs and landings. Which also means that with light tailwinds they can achieve any take off and landing safely.

     

    Now, there are some airports, and some runways that may have a fixed configuration on landings and take offs until the tailwind component goes over a certain amount. I.E, some civilian airports keep the same runway in use, even with a tailwind component if it's 10kts or less. Madrid Barajas, for instance; or Tel Aviv... I think the real "Sochi" has an issue about that too.

     

    The reason may be the fisics of the airport, it's sorrounding terrain, or ATC issues.

     

    Anyway, talking about DCS, I'm afraid that IA ATC always uses the same runway in use regardless of the wind.

     

    Thanks boquinauer. I increased wind speed at Kutasai with strong wind just to test, pattern then changed to right side runway as per wind direction. As you say, as I tested, Kutaisi, at least on DCS, Kutaisi AI use a default pattern until a specific speed of wind. Actually I don't know what the trigger speed which will change pattern but doesn't matter for now. Thanks
