  1. Thanks for the comments all. About a tutorial, well, I don't know if I'll make one, I mean, there isn't one thing which will make all your screenshots look like this, it really depends on the situation. If you'd like to see the .pds however, that's no problem, just send a pm.

  2. Hello there,

I see a lot of beautiful things made for Lock on and with Lock on (mods&movies). As I'm terrible in doing both I decided I'd better show you something else. I've made some edits from lock-on screens, maybe more will follow soon.

    Hope you like them;

Credits for the skin and the cloud pictures go to the makers...

  3. omfg, is that real? it looks very very very very stunning. Best plane I've seen.

Only one thing bothers me, the nose, don't know..

    Still; this plane IS beautiful.

Edit: this is making a fly an elephant (if that's an English saying too), anyway, to compare the nose with the real one:

I feel the corner near the cockpit is a bit sharper in real, but maybe it's me, and, to be honest, i don't even care if you would change it when it is a bit sharper, that model is amazing.

  4. Yeniceri,

Your idea sounds perfect, I'll go for the MKI, but the OVT would be just as great. I'm really looking forward to whatever it may be. You do a great job for the comunity and although not everyone here is that positive, most of us really appreciate your work!

I hope, once your model has been finished, someone will be able to edit it to the real flight model, that will really add a new plane, but, it's not your fault you, or someone elses fault they, can't do it.

    Good luck with modelling :)

  5. EscCtrl is very right imo, the first 2, especially the first, are so blurred/out of focus that you don't know where to look, best is to look away i'm afraid...

The second would be awesome if the plane wasn't blurred.

The third is strange, I dont know, it seems really unrealistic but it has it's beauty aswell..

Link if you know some dutch. Don't know if you were there last year but it seems a bit less cool than last year.

    Demo teams:

    Patrouille de France (Alphajet)

    Turkish Stars (NF-5)

    The Blades (Extra 300 LP)

    Breitling Jet Team (L-39 Albatross)

    Royal Jordanian Falcons (Extra 300)

    Pilatus PC7 Team

So no American (nor Russian) teams this year :(

And some shows from Dutch and Belgian F-16s and Spanish and Swiss F-18s.

It's at Volkel airbase (south of the Netherlands).

Now I'll stop hijacking the thread :)

  7. I didn't like the original LOMAC background as a lot of work would be required to get that looking vaguely real, even editing in real backgrounds is hard as the lighting needs to be right a long with focus and various other effects, it's very easy for someone to see what's wrong but very difficult for someone to make things look right, maybe when I get better like rockwelder :D. As for the motion blur angle that was done deliberately as a flat blur would have been too boring and unnatural (it's rare you'll see perfect panning) the plane also was not flying truly level.

Mmm, I think it would be pretty easy to add some real grass texture to the picture, without anyone really noticing its put on there (nobody really looks at the grass anyway, it's the plane that's got the attention, so a bit unreal isn't that much of a problem I guess)

And the motion blur angle, I didn't say you had to make it flat, just the angle a bit closer to flat.

Comparing the first and the second I think the unsharp mask is a bit too much, I guess in between would be most perfect.

Sorry for the whining, great picture it is for sure.
