  1. I am staring to think the issue is using Hydra 70 M151 Rockets to trigger the condition. I can only find Bomb in Zone and Missile in Zone. The Hydra is listed in missile in Zone so I used it. Maybe the wrong thing. Just tested. I changed Hydra condition to a bomb in zone (GBU-12) and it triggered a message. Setting back to the Missile in Zone with the Hydra and message is not triggered.
  2. It's just not working (although I thought at 1 stage it did). The zone is big enough. I have attached a test mission just concentrating on this section of mission. Hopefully someone can help. I surmise it's the way I have set up the "switched" and Repetitive" conditions. I have tried them is different ways. even tried 2 repetitive conditions instead of switched, with more flags and that did nothing as well. Switch Imortality Test V4.miz
  3. In building a small mission I have been trying to turn the Immortality of Ground Troops off for a short period of say 5 seconds and then back on. I have been using the condition flag of "Is User Flag" and then trying to combine with switched conditions and Repetitive Conditions based on a rocket/rockets in a zone. This is all with normal MB flags and not any code- I am not really good with that side of things. However nothing seems to work out for me. Is anyone to give me any pointers?
  4. I did further testing based around wind direction of 39 and 219 degrees and wind speed of 11knots. It seems that Hawkinge is main problem of the few fields I tested. It does not change with wind speed or direction. It also showed that windspeed needed to get to 9knots, to get AI to change takeoff direction (The Channel changes with 6 knots). I tested 2 planes (1 takeoff from runway and another from parking spot) just in case there should be a difference. I tested the following strips: Hawkinge and Lympne; Kenley and Biggin Hill; Tangmere and Ford; Brazeville and Lantheuil in France and Detling and Manston All except for Hawkinge and Kenley were consistent with wind changes. Hawkinge did not change at all and always took off in the Southwest direction. Kenley was strange, in that it always held takeoff direction to Northwest (approx 300deg - crosswind) with wind speed from 0 wind to 20 knots and with wind direction set at 39deg - main runway is 21/201degree heading. However, when wind direction was set to 219deg the AI tookoff in the correct direction to the NNE, once speed was set to 9knots. 5. I had done at 6 knots, as I understood that 5 knots was the point at which it would react.
  6. AI will only takeoff in 1 direction. Switching wind direction does not alter their direction. I tested on Hawkinge and Lympne.
  7. Seeking some clarification. Just building a small mission on the Normandy map and was trying to get an AI Spit to take off from Hawkinge in the northerly direction. However, they always take off in the opposite direction. I have tried to change wind direction and speeds but nothing alters the takeoff direction of the AI. Is this just something that the AI will only ever take off in a given direction for an all strip or even a given strip, or can I be possibly doing something wrong?
  8. Ok thanks for the info. Also didn't realise the 109 was produced that late.
  9. I am trying to build a small mission for the Spitfire on the Channel map for a time period of mid 1942 which is when I think it was being introduced. I placed the Spit but when I tried to place a 109 on the channel map I could not see it to select as an opposing force. When I changed to 1944, I could see all the different planes. Am I doing something incorrect or is this an issue? I thought the map was meant for 1940-45.
  10. Thanks for info. For your example - I would be wanting monitor 3 as primary windows screen and monitor 2 (as 2nd monitor) for the DCS screen. Just forgetting monitor 1 was there as it's a 2monitor setup.
  11. I am considering getting a 2nd monitor to show DCS on. Current research seems to be showing what I want to do as being problematic for me. Currently on Windows 11 and have a 2K monitor. If I go with a 2nd monitor it will need to be on my left and I would like it to be the non-primary. I also want to leave the primary, working as it does now with the taskbar and all that stuff so that I can use Discord and office docs for references whilst on DCS on the non-primary monitor. Does anyone know if this is possible to achieve?
  12. yes Secondary Shadows with deck lights I think is the issue. Thanks for input
  13. Yep thanks. I was aware of that but just i've never bothered with running a special tab in Nvidia for DCS. I have done so now and tied different settings. Also have tried various settings in DCS using the Custom Save buttons to compare. No change has made any difference in any way to what I see - disappointingly. So I just have accept that it is a case of "it is what is" and get back to flying.
