Hi.
After i bought DCS Huey and was so fascinated by the game, so i decided
to built some pedals for better controls. They are made from parts i had left from other projects.
A old USB joysticks electronic board is used to connect it to the PC,
and a Allegro A1302 linear Hallsensor gets the angle from the axis.
The are designed to be used at normal seat high, thats why they are tilted
forward to this laying position.
Movement range of the pedals is 13° up/down from center position.
Is anyone of you guys building some custom pedals too?
And does anyone use a A1302 Hallsensor (mine is perhaps Allegro, perhaps
a HongKong clone) for the pedals main axis at any project and has some experience with it?
At the second picture, you can see the sensor and the rotating magnet
device thats used for the main axis. There are how2s that show a magnet
holder where the magnets are placed outside a plastic tube, but i decided
to use this inverted design, cause i can use smaller magnets.
The pedals mechanics and electronics are allready working, but the center
mechanism isn´t finished jet and the centering springs are missing at the picture.
