  1. I´ve prepared a mission for you:

    Location: Kobuleti AFB

    Local Time: 02:00

    Weather Conditions: -14°C

Just put the mission in your "/mods/aircraft/UH-1H/missions/en/single" Folder.

Not just the huey in this mission is cold and dark...

Thanks for all your help will try scenario

    Denis

  2. Thankyou very much sir and leaving the collective alone has made it a different helo. Made an old man feel young again. Will now have to practice - thanks again.

  3. Yes but I would not bother with trim where you are now - will only get you further into trouble.

Set your pitch and roll curves to 10, collective curve to 5 and all saturations to default (100%). Start a simple mission on ramp with engine running and attempt a vertical take-off (when I say take-off I mean just get the weight off the skids and a couple of metres off the ground). Attempt to hover and taxi around slowly.

Spend about a minute or so doing this, quit the mission and post your track. We can then have a look and advise from there.

Here is the track - but its nothing like what you describe - it would appear that a lot is self induced and proves I'm struggling with this and may have to wait for a better joystick.

I did'nt have these probs when flying my RC helos they appeared to be stable - must be my age.

Thanks for very quick replies and help.

  4. I'll admit I haven't probably spent as much time already as some, but I can't seem to keep this thing stable no matter how smooth I am on the control inputs. At different phases of flight the helicopter is shaking quite a bit and this seems abnormal. I try to go easy on the collective because it seems to be related to this but I just can't seem to get it down ( spoiled by Blackshark no doubt).

Overall the FM seems good to what I know, but my RL flying experience of helicopters is limited to RC and this thing flys nearly identical to some of these (minus the shake).

I have tried but cannot get a reasonable hover like those in the vids. Just runs away with me and tries to turn turtle. Have tried various curve and saturation settings etc.

Using satek x52 pro with saitek pedals.

Have no probs with ka50 - well maybe little ones - but nothing like the Huey probs.

Using Huey sim in options - is there a trim like the ka50 for the Huey?

Will I be better reinstalling DCS World and all modules.

    Any help appreciated

  5. Found another video (not mine) that you can see it with the rudders (check around 30 seconds in):

Having similar probs with saitek52pro, works stable in KA50 and Su plane. Also works with FSX Dodo.

Can't find a hover point runs away with me.

Anyone with settings for pro - have googled everywhere - maybe my flying?

    Denis. :pilotfly::pilotfly:

  6. Hovering lesson.

Video is kindly presented by Spanish Coast Guard pilot. (Furia)

This guy Furia is one of the best tutors I have had the privilege to watch and a superb helo sim pilot.

  7. Have done the reload 4 times and have used up my remaining activations and now on starforce activations.

I have re-nstalled BS used the patches - 1a to 1b, DCS-BS_Patch_1.0.1c_EN - everything runs OK up to there and then install 1.2 update and end up with attached errors when I click on start icon for 1.2. It does run but doesn't seem right - slower start up and doesn't seem to interface with FC2(re-nstalled that to)

Bought FC2 to try BS in multyplay but it never works - anyone can help at all.

  8. How do I fly the KA-50 in LO2 - I choose the KA-50 but it flies itself with my name tag - no cockpit. Is this server setup or me being a noob at multi.

    All the best

    Denis :music_whistling: :helpsmilie:

  9. Can I find out how many activations I have before starting to install BS ?

Had problems over a year ago installing and lost some - now had hard disk failure and going from XP to WIN7. :music_whistling:

Have read this is regarded as a new install - and if I have used all my activations - how do you obtain a new one.

Do you have to purchase again? :(

  10. As Matty said earlier, you're distorting screen, your aspect ratio should be 16:9

Thanks Matty - not in 5:4 because BS puts it back to 4:3 and satisfied with that.

Maybe I am losing out with my setup but can read the gauges ok and it was the comms I was having trouble with.

Great sim but at 70 years cannot fly it like you youngsters - have to "fly" it my way.

    All the best

    Denis the Menace

  11. What monitor you're using?

Thanks for replies MattyST and dragony- my monitor is iiyama Prolite E2207WSV.

Have managed to "fill" screen by changing the refresh rate as in the attached pic from 59 to 60.

Cockpit screen ok now in 1280x1024 at 5:4 can read things a bit better.

    Thanks again

  12. If I understand, you say your resolution is 1280x1024. That isnt a widescreen resolution. Do you mean widescreen or do you just mean that it should "fill" your screen?

If do you have a widescreen monitor find out what its native resolution is (id guess at something like 1680x1050 and set the aspect ratio in the graphics options to 1.6.

Yes I did want it to "fill" the screen with that rez.

Using 1280x1024 in WinxP with 5.4 and screen is "full" in BS cockpit - with same drivers.

    Looks like W7 is different.

Thanks for quick reply - tried your advice and I had a "full" screen but find the fonts very small and with my old eyes could do with them larger.

    Thanks again

    denis
