Major Bug's post in Question regarding Flyable Mods and skins in MP was marked as the answer
Obviously he can join because of the Required Modules List which does not inhibit it. Thats why he sees a Su-27 instead of the Bronco.
But anyway he needs the Bronco mod being installed to see an actual Bronco in the mission.
