  2. Required operation requires elevation Has any else had this problem? Yesterday DCS was was working beautifully. Today, startup.exe refused to open beyond the first 2.5.6 window. So I deleted the game and re-downloaded. The installation stalls and a window appears; "Create process failed;Code 740. Requested operation requires elevation." I've searched but found no references. Any ideas appreciated.
  3. I've searched the forum and manual unsuccessfully. Once I hit F10 and open the map, how do I close it?
  4. Rudel chw, Thank you for your reply. As I understand, eventually the Channel map will appear in my stable version. Patience is its own reward.
  5. I purchased the Channel map and found it wouldn't appear in in my DCS game newly upgraded to 2.5.6. game. It seemed I had to download the new DCS World package. I did that and found the map in the download section where I expected it. Two copies of DCS take up a lot of room. My question is, may I delete my old updated 2.5.6 DCS game and keep the new DCS World 2.5.6 version without messing anything up? I occasionally get burned when I make decisions in ignorance. My thanks for any help.
  6. I never figured out what the problem was. The solution was uninstall and reinstall DCS World and the P-50. That solved the problem.
  7. piXel496, Thank you for your reply and suggestion. Alas, it didn't work. I've searched each of the categories in all of the in all the adjustment lists without finding any using JOY_X. Is there any other place to look? jlan
  8. I'm new to DCS. I spent a week getting familiar with TF-P51 "easy and real" versions. I made adjustments to the pitch and roll and applied them to my Logtek Extreme 3D Pro joy stick: Pitch=Joy_Y and Roll=JoyX. They worked fine. Yesterday I purchased and downloaded the DCS P-51D. and made the same adjustments. They worked fine the first time taking off and landing. The second time, the pitch worked as usual, but the ailerons no longer worked. The ailerons continue to work in both TF-P51 modes, "easy" and "real." But the ailerons in both P-51Ds just flutter when I move the stick to the roll position. All four P-51 models have the same adjustments in the "axis controls" window. I've tried reinstalling, and readjusting, without success. I've checked to see if there are conflicting settings in all the adjustment windows and seen nothing. Yesterday I spent a couple of hours here searching, unsuccessfully, for a solution. Any solutions or ideas out there?
