G'day, I am using my baseline home PC for DCS World with A-10C. Don't do multiplayer due internet connectivity issues, but am finding even with all settings set to low frame rate is appalling and find myself not enjoying the sim. Can anyone with more hardware knowledge than me please give advice on the best way I can bump up the performance of my system without breaking the bank? I can afford $100-$150 here and there to gradually upgrade, and am not after a blisteringly fast system. Just something that won't freeze for 10sec at a time on mission 1 of Georgian Hammer at mid-level settings. I'll be happily looking for second-hand graphics cards and so on....having the latest and greatest isn't really my style (at least, not anymore with four kids around).
