Yes, for our very static position 1 lighthouse should be enough, you can always buy a second one later. Lighthouses from HTC (Vive) work as well as SteamVR lighthouses. They should be cheaper used.

Yes, without Lighthouses you only get 3DOF but its works ok, its just weird if you lean forward and nothing happens.

Should not be a problem, i reset it once on DCS Startup (the first flight) and usually i dont have to reset it even in between different flights.
