Newbie Simmer

I saw a screenshot of the BMS Falcon F-16 cockpit a couple of days ago and I was awed with just one specific thing in the cockpit----- The displays. The F-15C in LOMAC FC2 has green old disgusting:disgust: looking green displays:mad: (radar,PACs,and TEWS). But the F 16 has a sexy black display with white lines. So is there a way I can change or even mod the game to have a display like that?? I hate the green displays. Realism is not a factor here. Thanks in advance:joystick:

This is an interesting bug in LOMAC FC2 when using the Razer Game Booster. When the game is being boosted, then I get the "Assertion FAILED" error. This is only happening when I enable 'BOOSTING' (either auto or manual). I quick start a mission (am using ModMan 7.3) and BAM! it says something about the Black Shark....TempTex...... in the command prompt like window and I get the Assertion error. Disable Boosting completely and FC2 is running like a charm (well,only a jagged 25fps charm with a 9400gt:cry: as usual:() Is anyone else having this issue and are there any fixes ? I am quite interested to use this thing. Thanks.:pilotfly:

Ah.. Its easily solvable by installing the latest Compatibility Update for win 8.1 from Microsoft's website. Happened to me the first time I played. Quick started a mission and got that error in the activation screen. The compatibility update fixes that issue which is caused by StarForce not supporting win 8.1. And I got to activate the game after that and playing (umm..learning:book::joystick:) it now. Hopefully this will solve your problem (fixed mine:thumbup:) Best wishes to all the LOMAC FC2 newbies!!!!!!!!!

I shot the last enemy jet in the FC-2 F-15C Quick Start mission (After about HALF a DOZEN recovers :music_whistling::joystick:) but the mission kept on going. No enemies were visible on the map (F-10). However there was a red dot on the easy radar that looked like a couple of missiles joined extremely close near the Col... airfield. But I could not see anything like that out of the cockpit at any altitude. So did I forget something :doh: or is my game bugged :cry:? ^^^^^^^^^^^^ Just after I shot the last flanker, the radio did say something about "Olympus...Hostiles 207...." But still no visual or radar confirmation (checked the map again -- nothing). ***************

I have Lock On Flaming Cliffs 2. Russian jets have a tiny ammo cap so is there a way to make the cannon unlimited (or even increase the amount) WITHOUT affecting the missiles like in the options menu. I'm terrible at dogfights so it would be useful to practice with it. Thanks.

Irregular Programming : What emulator are you using? My generic gamepad's is going to take forever to setup the controls. So perhaps a ready-made controller profile may be of help. Can someone please upload it as an attachment. I am pretty lost with the controls. x360ce works fine with other games but nothing on FC2. Thanks

Download and install the latest Win 8 compatibility update. Will fix the issue:)

Hello everybody I am quite new to this so please bear with me here. Here's the thing, ALL the aircraft tend to pitch downwards and lose altitude steadily. I can control them like rolling, firing etc. but I cannot keep them in the air even with significant wrestling with the controls. I get the "max AOA warnigs" and lose control and then I crash. Am I doing some thing wrong here or is my game bugged ? I'm increasing the throttle and (trying) pressing the "Trims" (can't seem to find any indication of them activating), still nothing happens. So please help me on this. Thanks in advance. **** MY game is legit and I'm using a cheapy PS2 style USB vibration gamepad (is that the bug? keyboard seems the same if a little less severe). So can someone suggest me a XBOX emulator because X360ce isn't working and I cant afford a joystick here in Bangladesh (they aren't available either). But I am liking the Logitech 3D pro so does anyone know a place here I can get it from cuz I'm a huge fan of flight sims. **** One more thing --- can someone tell how I can get unlimited ammo only for the cannon without changing the bomb or missle count ? A mod or step to edit some .lua file or something would be great. Thanks again.

Just got this one. I'm not getting the controls at all. Tried to fly "QUICK FLY" and the A-10A mission about the port or something...Anyway the aircraft is tipping its nose downwards and I cannot keep it airborne even with significant wrestling. All of the planes are doing this. They gradually keep losing altitude no matter what I do, after a while my jet crahes to the ground. I can control my jet like climbing, firing etc but even after climb I start losing alt. I am very new to this and I don't have any knowledge about flight sims. I am loving this game but can't seem to get the hang of this. Can someone give me a guide to get stared on flying? I need to get flying as soon as possible. And when should I start MP? So : 1] How should I set the controls on my game pad for essential controls like weapons? 2]How can I start the quick fly on the ground? 3]I'm using a generic gamepad and I've noticed that the throttle returns to the middle as stop pushing it up with my thumb. So how do I fix that? 4] How should I configure the axis (I'm completely lost here) 5} Graphics settings to look great (getting 36-45 fps on my 9400gt 1gb) 6] GREAT Mods? 7]Basic tutorials (text cuz my net's too slow for YouTube) My Gear : 1) Ordinary generic game pad(HOTAS are impossible to get here:cry:) with 12 buttons, D-pad(4 buttons with arrows) and two thumb stick (i think they are called that). I'm happy with the mouse to look around so I think I can use the D-pad to weapons or something. 2] Keyboard for the more "advanced" flight equipment like engine controls and the other rarely used stuff 3] Mouse to look around. Please give me a simple layout around these as I'm just learning it. GFX is bothering me as the terrain is bland texture and the plane's don't have realistic shadows. So are there any mods for that? My rig(can't afford upgrades) : 2.9 ghz core 2 duo 2 GB RAM 1 GB 9400GT DDR2 256 kbps wifi. **legal copy*** Thanks in advance.
