It would also be nice if navigation lights were visible at a longer range

Not sure if this is something new but I share it anyway:
I was looking for a way to control the internal lights (panels, flood and instrument) with 3-position switches. Reason: I don't have enough axis controls on my rig.
By mistake I found that the lights can be simply switched ON/OFF with the following additions to the "default.lua":
{down = 3006, up = 3006, cockpit_device_id = devices.LIGHTS, value_down = 1.0, value_up = -1.0, name = 'Panel Lights 2-Pos. Switch', category = 'Internal Lights'}, {down = 3007, up = 3007, cockpit_device_id = devices.LIGHTS, value_down = 1.0, value_up = -1.0, name = 'Flood Lights 2-Pos. Switch', category = 'Internal Lights'}, {down = 3008, up = 3008, cockpit_device_id = devices.LIGHTS, value_down = 1.0, value_up = -1.0, name = 'Instrument Lights 2-Pos. Switch', category = 'Internal Light'},
Each light requires only one maintained ON/OFF switch. Of course this does not allow me to dim the lights; but I have never found them too bright. So I did not pursue the idea with the 3-position switches any further.
where exactly do you put that in?
is there a special place inside the default.lua you need to put it?

I think the Spitfire suffered from this when it was released. Think it has been corrected now though.
-
Well thanks for the help.
We just have to wait for HB to take care of it.
-
Thanks for the quick reply.
I guess there is no way of making the slider control all three of the light knobs either?
-
Is there any way to make the instrument lights accessible on the keyboard?
One key to increase and one to decrease would be awesome.
-
Are there any plans to make navigation lights more visible at some point?
Right now they seem very dim and not a very big help at all.
-
By least accurate what are you comparing it to?
Well, the other WW2 aircraft with wing mounted guns.
ED have set it to the general standard for the wartime P51D iirc. Are you saying ED's implementation of convergence is wrong?
I know, but I have been convinced by other people discussing this that there was more then one standard being used.
No. I am saying I want a convergence that is more suited for close range since that is where most of my shooting happens.
I would love to have the option to choose between long and short range in the setup meny.
There's been loads of other topics on this. An opinion poll is going to do sweet FA to change anything. Supply some proof that other patterns were used and the details of them and ED will look at it.On this I agree. I don´t think they will change anything. But instead of just complaining to my squad mates, I thought i could post here to get an idea of how other people feel about this.
And that is also the reason I´m not going to waste my time going through the same documents that has been brought up not only on this forum, but others too.
If they decide to change it, awesome. If not? well, its not a deal breaker or anything. It is just something I would like. Maybe this should have been in the "wish" section now that i think about it.

Nice, thx

I know this has been asked many times before, but i figure there is a reason for that.
The P51´s convergence is just terrible and it is probably the least accurate in game by far.
With a new damage model coming soon, doing damage will most likely be harder so to hit with as many guns as possible would be ideal.
What do you guys think?
Do you want a new gun convergence?
-
I hope they revisit the convergence. The P51 has the worst pattern of all the WW2 birds in game.

Is there any way to slow down the speed of the rudder trim wheel. It feels too sensitive.
I find it a lot harder to make small adjustments in the spit compared to other aircraft because of this.

2.1.
I have not tried it in 1.5.

Forgot to mention. At this one: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swedish_Air_Force_Museum
I believe they have a jas 39 gripen simulator with cockpit and all, but you will need to book it before you get there.
This place is an absolute must.
But don't take my word for it. Here is a authentic swede showing you around. He might sound like he is bored to death, but I can assure you he is extremely happy.

Yes.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swedish_Air_Force_Museum
This is the best place to go.
Then there is this one one the way up there.

And of course in my home town you got this one.

I see that you can ask the groundcrew to change your skin and tail number, but it is only visible to you it seems. Is there any way to make it visible for the entire server? Especially the tail number would be helpful to change when flying with squadmates

That video sums it up perfectly. I think this is something they might want to have a look at.

never seen a red out to be honest, it just goes black.
-
Is it just me, or is the G-LOC a bit too much at negative g´s. At high speeds, make a wrong and your screen goes instant black and you cant do anything to regain consciousness.
Seems a bit off to me, and it does not seem to be as bad in the other fighters.

I have the same problem with the AJS Viggen. It works fine in the F86 Sabre
