  1. Thank you David OC and everyone else for all the great information! Ok so I really like the Asus PG279Q. It seems to be top of the line for 1440 at 27" but WOW!! that is some price tag!!! It definitely has all the bells and whistles and I have no doubt that I will be very happy with this screen. Hopefully I can get the wife to go for it!!! You have to pay if you want to play!!!
  2. Thank you all for the feedback! That really helps me nail it down. 1440 it is. Couple other questions I had maybe a bit off topic but here goes. What utility or software does everyone use to over clock their CPU? I have virtually have no experience in this area and want to know that I am doing it correctly!! Also, What software utility does everyone use for monitoring frame rates, CPU, clock speeds, etc. on screen and in game? I cannot get EVGA precision XOC to work with DCS. It works with other games but not DCS. And MSI afterburner works in DCS but I can only get it to display the framerate. Thanks again for the help guys!!!
  3. Hey guys, I recently upgraded my GPU to the EVGA GTX 1070 SC. I plan on upgrading to a larger monitor like 27"-32" but I am stuck on whether to stay at 1080p @ 144Hz resolution or should I make the jump to 1440p 60Hz or 144 Hz resolution? I am leaning toward the IPS panels. I would like to maintain good performance at higher settings (not necessarily maxed settings) I am not convinced that my rig will be able to push 1440p @ 144Hz. May be ok at 60 Hz. Any advice, suggestions, experiences are greatly appreciated! I have never done any overclocking but an open to the possibility My specs: Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H mainboard I5 3570K @ 3.40 GHz processor(No OC) 16 GB DDR3 RAM EVGA NVIDIA GTX 1070 SC Samsung EVO 500Gb SSD 2TB mechanical hard drive Corsair RM 1000 power supply Corsair liquid cooler Windows 10 home
