  1. Huuuuuuurray! Tearing gone! With some extra search on this forum (hmm), one can discover that Win7 Aero desktop themes include a Vsync. So I've turned my desktop into Aero, and tadaaa! I can now enjoy the game!
  2. Well well well... After a long day of tests, I can finally get rid of the shimmering. But then I lose Vsync. I have to play in windowed mode to reduce the shimmering to an acceptable level (with 2xSGSS), but I just can't have Vsync working so! Any hints (D3Doverrider no joy)?
  3. Hello everyone, I'm a newbie playing FC2 after upgrading from LOMAC1.02. I find FC2 more eye-candy and easier on the fps than its forefather, BUT I still have an issue. Whetever the settings on Nvidia Inspector are, I am experiencing major shimmering of village and cities textures, and only these textures. Overall AA is just fine, building edges and textures are well-defined and trees look great! I am a bit at a loss here, so I thank anyone who could point me toward corrective settings, textures etc. I have searched the forum but I could find something related to my specific issue. Here is my rig : E6550 CORE 2 DUO OC 3Ghz, MSI P35 NEO2-FR, GTX650 1GB DDR5 drivers 335.23, TWINX CORSAIR DDR2 4X1024MO, SAMSUNG T133 300GB 7200RPM 8MB, LG L1954TQ-PF 19” @ 1280x1024, GREEN POWER 400W, OS : Windows 7 64 bit Nvidia settings : Gamma Corection ON, Line gamma enabled, AA mode Override, AA setting8xSQ, Transpa Multi disabled, Transpa Super 8xSS, NVIDIA predefined FXAA usage allowed, Toggle FXAA on. AF mode user-defined/off, AF setting 16x, AF opti off, AF sample opti off, driver controlled LOD bias on, LOD bias (DX et OGL) +0; Negative LOD bias Clamp, Texture quality Quality, Trilinear opti on. Please have a look at the enclosed picture. I have highlighted shimmering areas (= city textures).
