  1. God I love the attention to detail in the 54 flight profiles! Let's hope LNS don't get overruled on this! If aim54 motors burn out after 5 seconds and can't reach something 10nm away....
  2. I would add to all of the above, it depends GREATLY on where you fly. Most areas in NTTR should run just fine on moderate settings (45fps). Vegas itself can be a problem, but still very playable. But in 1.5, you will need to choose where to fly. If you fly around Kutaisi your fps will suffer, sometimes enough to make it not worth playing. Sometimes it's "ok". I could never figure out what the fps killer was in that region. But around Krasnodar, it's a solid 45-90fps all the time. I think the DCS engine needs optimising pretty badly, but the maps clearly make a massive difference to performance also. Hope 2.5 has a well ported map! 4770K, 980Ti, 16GB.
  3. I want to do sustained inverted formation flying, but all planes have quite limited inverted time before the engines flame out. Realistic, but annoying. I know the virtual aerobatic team aircraft mods have inverted fuel pumps - but those are not available to the public. Is there any way to replicate inverted fuel pumps? If it matters, my priority is F15C, FC3 planes, A10C. But ideally it would just be a global setting to all aircraft: "no longer check inverted time". Thankyou!
  4. I hope VR zoom isn't a Rift timed exclusive /s
  5. This zoom does not work for me. Vive. Any idea why? I have bound the vr zoom to a hotas 4 way switch, but it does nothing. The other 3 directions work for their bindings.
  6. I have this problem also. Running at low graphical settings for VR, and getting about 40-45fps at best on OB. My 980Ti usage is only 24-29% in game. Goes to 38% in main menu rofl. On the plus side, my gpu fans never need to spin up.... :/ 4770K, 16GB, SSDs, etc. I think performance optimisation is going to have to be a priority for ED sooner rather than later.
  7. After going in to the settings screen from the main menu to check out the new VR options, when I go back to the main menu IT IS GONE. I can only see the su27 in the hangar, I have no GUI at all. Have to close game via task manager.
  8. When in VR (Vive) and I go to the settings section to use the new VR options, when I click ok to go back to the main menu there is NO MENU. I only see the su27 in the hangar. I can only close down DCS via task manager. Totally broken right now. :(
  9. Nice vid. I liked it :)
  10. 11 tanks burning away! Thanks mate.
  11. Thanks! It's very possible I've missed that from my routine.
  12. I'm just learning, but can cold start, hover, fly around, lock up targets, etc. However, I have not been able to launch any Vikr because my weapons panel won't let me select any weapon station. Depending on the loadout, I either get yellow lights to show weapons present, or I do NOT. However, no matter what loadout I choose, it ALWAYS shows in the external view under the weapon pylons correctly. So this leads me to believe I haven't setup something in my cold start correctly. I have enabled everything as far as I can tell, as I am able to use the camera to locate and lock targets. Even when the yellow weapon present lights are on, I cannot select inboard or outboard. The gun count sometimes shows, but the vikr missile count field is blank. I don't get that - it's on the wings but showing blank in the panel??? Have I done something obviously wrong, or is this a bug in the game atm? I have no idea. Thanks for your help.
  13. I figured it out! Yay for me. For anyone else interested in doing the same thing, this is exactly what I ended up doing. I have 3 monitors of 1920X1080 each, in nvidia surround for 5760X1080. I have another monitor plugged into the onboard graphics, at 1280X1024. This is set to the right of my main monitors. I created a .lua file, the contents below: _ = function(p) return p; end; name = _('4MonsTest_WIP'); Description = '3MonView1MonMFCDs' Viewports = { Center = { x = 0; y = 0; width = 5760; height = 1080; viewDx = 0; viewDy = 0; aspect = 5760/1080; } } LEFT_MFCD = { x = 5800; y = 0; width = 403; height = 403; } RIGHT_MFCD = { x = 6250; y = 0; width = 403; height = 403; } UIMainView = Viewports.Center In DCS2.0, set your res to 7080X1024, and choose the .lua file you saved the above as. It then works for me :) Thankyou for your help! Now, do I go for Cougar MFDs so close to VR release? It would be cool for DCS and perhaps Star Citizen/Elite:Dangerous.....
  14. 3 monitor surround, plus 4th lcd questions DCS 2.0 question: I already have 3 monitors (1920X1080P each) in nvidia surround for 5760X1080, which is working well. But now I have a 4th monitor I have plugged into the iGPU on my cpu/mobo. It is a second monitor in Windows, but only 1280X1024. I want to put my MFCDs from A10C on it. I can get 5760X1080 working with the MFCDs placed anywhere I want on the surround monitors. But I cannot get them to appear on my 4th monitor. How do you do that? I've googled, but nothing seems to work. What should I be aiming for? Should I be trying to set my total res in DCS settings to 5760X1080, or 7040X1080, or 7040X1024...? After that, my custom .lua file, should it still set for 5760? Thanks for your help.
  15. I don't know of a mission editor manual, but it's easy enough to setup. Run mission editor. Choose new mission. Click on the aircraft button at left, and click on the airbase you want to take off from. Change plane type to the one you want to fly of course. In the details tab on right, change the skill level I think it is to "client". That means you fly it. Set the first waypoint to "take off from ramp" for a cold start. You can add more waypoints if you want. Put the last one on the airfield and set the type to "land". You can change your loadout with the 2nd tab, the one right next to the waypoint tab which is selected by default. Save the mission, and then "fly mission". You can add other aircraft easily enough using the same method. Choose a different country for them. That should be enough to get you going.
