  1. Cheers Moa, I'll give this a look after work. At least I know its likely an OpenGL issue, so I can direct my attention that way. Thanks again.
  2. Hi Scythe, I have been having this exact same issue. I'm running an ATI card with updated drivers and updated DirectX. I'm also on Windows 7. I have reinstalled the game twice and had a browse to see if just the background texture is missing, but got nowhere. It's not only the menu, it's the log book and everything that's missing. The weird thing is, the Multiplayer starts up fine with nothing missing. No idea what's causing the issue. Can anyone else throw a few suggestions around?
  3. Cool video, mate. Good job!
  4. Happy Birthday, GA, and many happy returns!
  5. Hey fellas, A quick question for anyone who might have come across this issue: If I'm setting up my own mission and I set a group of, say, A-10A's to take off from a runway after my group and I set their altitude each way-point to, say, five-thousand feet, it seems more often than not that they will fly a completely different altitude then the one I assigned. I've taken into consideration the possibility that it might be MSL altitude and it makes no difference - even over water it's the same. Am I overlooking something embarrassing like the editor is used in meters? I can't seem to find a solution. Any replies are greatly appreciated. Rich.
  6. Czarnyolek, thanks for the info - I wasn't sure if I'd mess up my LO installation by moving it across. And thanks for the other info, guys, much appreciated.
  7. Cheers for all the replies, guys - much appreciated. Shame about the wingman-fuel issue, guess I'll have to fly long patrols alone. Another quick question - is it possible to relocate my LOMAC directory so it isn't on the C: drive and I can install all my Mods using ModMan? Can I just drag it across to another directory or would I need to do a complete reinstall of LO and FC onto a different directory?
  8. Yeah, I installed the Mods, the box is green and everything. It's really strange. The Mods just don't appear in Lock On, even though ModMan is telling me they're installed.
  9. Hey guys, It's been a while since I posted anything here, cause usually I can find some answers by routing through the forums, but I wasn't so lucky this time! Basically, when I'm flying with my two AI wing-men on the F-15, I would usually assign us all three pylons of fuel if the mission was going to take us far-and-wide, but for some strange reason, and after maybe twenty-five to thirty minutes of flight, wingman three seems to call "Bingo Fuel" and bugs out long before my own fuel reserves are anywhere close to Bingo. Usually wingman two isn't far behind. Sometimes they RTB and sometimes they don't even make it to the home-plate. It doesn't make sense because I assign us all the same fuel in the payload section. Has anyone else had this issue? Also, one more quick question - I'm using Flaming Cliffs 1.12 and I installed ModMan onto my computer (running Vista) to install some new aircraft and textures. It doesn't appear to be working. ModMan recognizes Lock On and the Mods appear to be installing just fine, but when I look for the Mods in Lock On, they're nowhere to be found! Can anyone shed some light on the situation? Any replies are much appreciated! Rich.
  10. Tough Call Personally, I'd rather see all attention focused on DCS, perhaps that way a few jets will be squeezed out into what appears to be a better engine and a new map. LOMAC will do me fine until DCS churns out some fresh aircraft. That said, if ED released a new Lock On addon tomorrow with the likes of a Hornet (I'd love to fly NATO carrier missions) and the necessary bug-fixes, I'd pay for it - definitely. Hope I'm not stepping on any toes by airing my opinion.
  11. The Gripen Model looks brilliant. It's great to see the progress too. Very exciting!
  12. Right, that's everything I need to know at the moment. Thanks a million. It'll be interesting to see what the next module contains. Fingers crossed it will be announced soon!
  13. Thanks for the replies, guys - much appreciated. Given that Black Shark is a stand-alone package, does that mean that the only flyable aircraft in the game is The Black Shark or did they throw in any Jets from the Lock On series? If not, do you reckon they'll include some in the future? I've heard that the engine behind Black Shark is great, so it would be excellent to see some jets.
  14. Hey guys, It's been a while since I was in the forums and indeed a while since I played Lock On. I want to jump back in, but since the release of Black Shark, I've been a bit confused and I have a few questions that I was hoping someone would be kind enough to clear up for me, or at least point me to where I can find some answers. Now, I was looking around for answers before I turned to the forums, but I couldn't get a straight solution (and apologies in advance if my question seems benighted). Is Black Shark an expansion for Lock On, or is it a stand alone package, with the same Ukrainian/Russian territories? And if it isn't, can I use Black Shark without installing Flaming Cliffs? Is there somewhere I can get patch notes on Black Shark if it is an expansion? And finally, does anyone know if the Flaming Cliffs package for sale on the ED website is a download or a delivery (and if it is a download, how does it work in relation to Starforce)?
  15. Hehe, very innovative ;) One small step for virual pilots... one giant leap for rubber bands!
