Hi there, ok well now I have installed FC over the install of lockon and I get the same runtime error message... it's screwed... bah ... I'm going to try installing windowsnt and see what happens, but I think that I might just only be able to use lockon ... thanks for the info about the graphical settings will have a look at that again, once I reinstall FC ... looks like i'm not going to get to use this....

Hey there, did before and that's when neither worked but yeah will try removing fc then installing together, will let you know how it goes... damn this is so frustrating!

Hey there... ok after sorting all the things out you suggested above we have gotten somewhere... not there yet but nearly ... I did all that and then installed lock on ( I bought lock on gold so have FC with it ) then installed FC as a stand alone game (as I thought I had tried installing over before and it didn't work ) ... then I downloaded the new patch for FC and installed it ... now FC crashed when I run it ... but ... I can run lockon the original game ... but ... the graphics look a bit crap, i.e. no specular highlights over the body of the plane and it seems to have white edges all round the surfaces... very strange... so ... not sure what to do next any suggestions? Thanks again been really helpful!

Hey there thanks for that... I keep getting issues with other things like battlefield 2142 which used to work perfectly, I think I may have installed as you say too many drivers etc trying to find the right ones... would you mind terribly giving me a link to the ones you installed please? .... Also is there a utility to remove directx from my machine so I can re-install, as I can't seem to find it ?.... thanks a lot for your help! :) ... hope to be flying soon! J.

Hi everyone thanks for the help, tried downloading the one on the list and of course that was XP 32 lol ... so am now downloading ForceWare 101.09 Vista 32-bit WHQL...hopefully that'll work ... tech support said download the new patch... I did and nothing ... when I launch I hear the sound but the video crashes it out ... so I can only assume it is a driver issue ... however which driver issue is another story ... nightmare... I am not running dx10... as it seemed to not be compatible with anything yet so went back to 9.0c I think ... any other ideas? ok the patch I just downloaded says that it cant find any drivers that were compatible with my current set up .... ****.... :( ... I have no idea... can't believe it ... any ideas anyone?

Hi there I'm a new member, just got my new pc as my old one fried itself... so I was all happy thinking I could run lockon FC ... been waiting forever to get flying with it... but... I load it and it does the starpants checks... all good then it goes to the program opens up a window ... and then I get a run time error ... dammit! ... I have added in the compatibility box run for xp -sp2 ... as admin ... disable desktop composition... and still nothing .. i'm starting to think it's my card that's the issue. I have a dual core 2.40 ghz processor 2gb ram, Geforce 8800 GTS 320mb... Windows bloody Vista... and I am stumped I emailed the support guys and they said ... in a verrrrryyyy brief email, that it won't support vista until they release a new patch which is nearly ready... But ... you guys seem to have it running on windows vista... can anyone help??? Pleeeeease do if you can, i'm at the end of my tether! Thanks everyone! J.
