  1. Pretty faultless. Quick response and quick install. It does default to C: drive which might be an issue if you use steam. This is going to occupy my time for some months. All for less than £2.40. I'm a happy man
  2. All done. Just waiting for the mission key :)
  3. If I buy this do I get access to the individual missions also, or is that a separate pack? Also, It looks like I pay then they email me a key. Is that the case?
  4. Well....It more or less worked. It runs absolutely fine except all my re-mapped keys have disappeared and the cockpit seems slightly lower res. Not sure if that can be the case. Small price to pay to free up another 6Gb of SSD though :)
  5. That's good enough for me. I'm going to delete the original A10C folder and see if it still runs. I can always download it again overnight. I'll post back for the benefit of others :)
  6. Last year I got a copy of A10C from Steam. I don't think I needed DCSWorld then (I may be wrong). I downloaded DCSWorld at some point over the 12 months, so I had two shortcuts in Steam: DCSWorld and A10C. In this year's Steam sale I bought FC3 and downloaded it. To speed up loading times I have moved A10C to a SSD and noticed that Steam has separate folder for DCSWorld (including FC3). I can run A10C from it's own shortcut and run everything from the DCSWorld shortcut. Is this how it should be, or should A10C have integrated within the DCSWorld folders? The A10C folder is around 6Gb and the DCSWorld one 21Gb. That's a lot of space on my SSD :(
  7. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I bought this 12 months ago and didn't have the time to dedicate so it just sat there. In the Steam sale I bought FC3 and proceeded to start the training missions for the A10a. Only after a few hours did I realise I was re-doing the A10c ones again. I've stuck with it and it is making much more sense. Years ago I had Falcon 4 (and all the FreeFalcon upgrades) and became pretty competent. So, I guess I'll stick with this one, it's no more difficult. Pity Youtube wasn't so good ten years ago! I will resist the urge to splash out on £200 for a set of sticks. That's guitar buying territory :) Now to seek advice on another few issues.
  8. I reckon by the end of next week I will have all the training missions finally understood, with the help of lots of Youtube help! I will then try an embark on either some simple missions or jump into a campaign. Before doing this I've just realised I haven't come across an online resource for them. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Cheers
  9. I'm still working my way through the training missions but it occurred to me and mission is going to last an eternity. Can I save the game mid-mission, or do I have to complete? Cheers,
  10. As I haven't got a trackir I was hoping to use a second joystick to control the cockpit view. I have tried to assign the vertical and horizontal control to my second stick, which is listed in controls, but it seems to be ignored. Have I missed something, or is this not possible? Id rather not use the mouse to pan the view if possible. Cheers
