I think I got it figured out. Unfortunately, I cant say exactly what fixed it. I reinstalled the three software (MRP, Steam MR, and Steam VR) and maybe I installed them in a different order but it seems to be working now. BTW, I have a Strix RTX 2070 which includes 2 Display Ports 1.4, 2 HDMI ports and a USB-C port. I had the main monitor (34" 1440P) in one DP and the VR connected to other DP with my side monitor (1080P) using a HDMI. I thought maybe I couldn't use both DP at the same time but that isn't the case. Also, I learned that you cant power VR sets through the USB-C because that port doesnt provide the 3.3V needed to run a VR headset, just FYI for you if wondering.
Now I am trying to tweak everything. I didnt realize the difference between playing in game and watching streamers who fly DCS and you see their monitor. In game its like you are in some "holographic" environment (which is very cool BTW and obviously 3D) but the clarity isnt like if you are watching in 2D on a monitor.
Is there tweaks I can set that will make the in headset view look more like a monitor?
With the Reverb, I can read the dials and knobs but I have to look hard or get closer. I'm also wondering if dogfighting is much harder in VR?
