  1. Thanks for the feedback guys, yeah hopefully the pinky button will do the job for trimming. However for the moment I think I'll buy just the CH Pro Throttle to start with and stay with the Logitech stick for a while - that only has one hat, so should give me an idea of whether I feel like I could do with one more (Combatstick) or 3 more (Fighterstick).
  2. After a long hiatus from simming, last year I bought myself a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro and gave DCS a go. I own the A-10C module but so far I've stuck almost entirely to Black Shark. I have some spare cash and it's only a matter of time before I pick up Elite: Dangerous so I'm thinking of getting my first HOTAS (including rudder pedals). Based on my research so far I'm leaning towards a CH Products setup. Trouble is I now have the dilemma of choosing between the Combatstick and Fighterstick. From what I've read it seems most people advocate the Fighterstick since it has more buttons in total, but I think I'd much prefer having a simple thumb button like on the 3D Pro to use as my trim button in Black Shark. I imagine using the thumb hat for this would feel very unnatural, and indeed the real KA-50 has a thumb button for this purpose: http://walkarounds.airforce.ru/avia/rus/kamov/ka-50/airforce_ru_ka-50_77.jpg So my question is, are there any Fighterstick owners out there happily using it to fly the Black Shark? I'm sure the extra hats it provides would come in handy for the other sims I play, but I don't want to get it if it makes it harder to fly my beloved shark.
