  1. Will someone please explain this to me? Lets just assume that there was mercury contained within a sphere and placed under a perfect vacuum, if energy is used to spin this sphere like a top, it should make the mercury also spin. Newtons 1st law states that an object in motion will remain in motion if no forces affect it. An example would be a stone thrown in space, it will travel forever.
  2. Lol why is it that you assume plasma follows the laws of physics? Many have proven against it. Heck, the thruster described by NASA that you also just referenced blows the conservation of momentum out of the water. A super heated mercury/plasma is not only a conductor of electricity but acts much differently than you seem to be able to comprehend.

  4. The similar theory mentioned is slightly different in a few ways, it is performed in a tubular ring shape, it is super heated (as someone was hinting to up there ^) causing the mercury first turn into a gas, and then into a plasma state. 5. Re-assesment After many days of thinking about this theory, I came across this thread. The original design stated is close I would say, but a few amendments need to me made. Please help me out with anything I may be over looking. Firstly, lets use the well known circular flying disc shape. Inside of this, replace the ring with a spherical chamber placed directly in the center of mass. This chamber will be spun, causing the liquid mercury contained inside to form a sort of whirlpool that will climb the sides of the sphere, causing an immense force to constantly flow both outward along the longitudinal axis and upward toward the top of the sphere. This part is where my theory may fall apart. I believe that when the mercury reaches the "peak" of the sphere, it would naturally fall down the center of the latitudinal axis due to the vacuum created within the sphere and starts its journey over again (essentially a whirlpool swallowing itself). I have read that some research suggests a similar theory claims a resultant 90% reduction of gravitational force. Of course, power still needs to be applied to the sphere in order to start and continue this process. Oh and some means of propulsion in an upward and downward motion, most likely due to a ducted fan placed beneath the UFO (which with a 90% reduction to gravitation forces, should be more than efficient enough to do the job.)
