Re-assesment
After many days of thinking about this theory, I came across this thread. The original design stated is close I would say, but a few amendments need to me made. Please help me out with anything I may be over looking.
Firstly, lets use the well known circular flying disc shape.
Inside of this, replace the ring with a spherical chamber placed directly in the center of mass.
This chamber will be spun, causing the liquid mercury contained inside to form a sort of whirlpool that will climb the sides of the sphere, causing an immense force to constantly flow both outward along the longitudinal axis and upward toward the top of the sphere. This part is where my theory may fall apart. I believe that when the mercury reaches the "peak" of the sphere, it would naturally fall down the center of the latitudinal axis due to the vacuum created within the sphere and starts its journey over again (essentially a whirlpool swallowing itself). I have read that some research suggests a similar theory claims a resultant 90% reduction of gravitational force.
Of course, power still needs to be applied to the sphere in order to start and continue this process. Oh and some means of propulsion in an upward and downward motion, most likely due to a ducted fan placed beneath the UFO (which with a 90% reduction to gravitation forces, should be more than efficient enough to do the job.)
