@OP Have you tried it on different missions? I seem to run into this problem when doing BigfootMSR's Datalink training mission, but when I start a mission like Convoy Hunt everything works as it should.

I got the exact same problem, my pilot won't even talk unless I switch off Intercom. I've also tried both the communications menu's, with and without easy communications.
