  1. Ok, so I've had a chance to investigate more. I am so tempted to say that this is a feature, but its also new--and to be honest, distracting/annoying. I'm hoping it is just a bug. Flight 1: - Normal takeoff config - High speed/low angle of attack - Noticed violent vibrations with gear; lessened with speed and after the gears were up. Hmm... Flight 2: - Normal takeoff config - Low speed/yanked a higher angle of attack - Again, violent vibrations with gear; lessened with speed and after the gears were up. Angle of attack does not seem to have a significant impact on the initial vibrations. Gear, however, does. As I said above, this feels like it could be a feature, but the effect itself feels exaggerated. It may be an attempt at realism, or a defect in the head shaking component of the module. Again, setting cockpit shake in the Mig-21bis settings to 0 seems to lock things down. Unfortunately, it is the rapid nature of the vibrations that are so distracting--even if accurate, the screen is vibrating without my actual head--so I feel very detached.
  2. Bugs are just undocumented features, after all :smilewink: You are correct, I believe. The shuddering is periodic, but it seems to vary for me. One mission it will be very violent and frequent. The next mission, it is mild and farther apart. One thing is for sure, within a single mission session, once you get up, the cadence of the shaking seems to remain consistent. Perhaps it has something to do with the angle of attack at takeoff/speed? I will experiment more tonight when I am done with my actual job of doing QA :joystick:
  3. No worries friend! Your English is better than my French :smilewink: I think I understand what you're saying. Personally, I could not verify if the cockpit shaking/shuddering was actually an impact of the flight model, or with the "special" cockpit shaking settings. All I know is that reducing the cockpit shake value to 0 instead of 100 will fix the problem...
  4. After the latest patch from ED last night, (assuming it was pushed to the Steam client as well...) I'm seeing bugs. Preconditions: 1) The user is performing a ramp start and takeoff 2) During the take-off run, the plane shudders and shakes as it bounces along the runway (expected). Postconditions: 3) After taking off, the cockpit view continues to shake and shudder with the same effect as the runway. Gear is raised, flaps are up, and yet, the cockpit view vibrates/shudders every 3-5 seconds after I take off and this continues for the duration of my time in the air. Interim Fix for Users: 1) If the user has the Mig-21bis "special" settings for cockpit shake and shudder set to the standard value of 100, this seems to cause the bug--and it shouldn't. A value of "100" is listed as the simulation setting in the manual. For the time being, however, if you don't want to deal with infuriating, seemingly scripted cockpit shaking after takeoff, set the value to "0." Unfortunately, this means you get no more dynamic shaking and shuddering when you should, but it gets rid of the extra madness. Notes: I am using the Steam version with Mig-21bis and Mig-15bis modules installed. I am running on 64bit Win 8.1.
