I thought I’d share with you my home made flight controls.
It might look like the cheap alternative to good controls, but building it was actually more expensive than my Warthog HOTAS combo, which is since only used for flying helicopters. Anyway, sometimes I prefer convenience over realism - so that's what I'm flying with.
It consists of 6 ALPS studio faders and 32 Cherry MX (brown) mechanic keyboard switches. The left fader is controlling the elevator, the two underneath the buttons are for rudder and ailerons. To the right are three controls for throttle, prop, mixture (or for thrust with up to three individual jet engines, two thrust and one speedbrake etc.).
