  1. Not yet, but I will get it today....Thanks! Happy Holidays!
  2. Hi BTD, Any word on when your cockpit sound mod makes it into an update? Cheers!
  3. Fantastic!!!! Outstanding!!!! This adds so much realism and will add to the pilots situational awareness!!! I'm curious....do you work for Eagle Dynamics or are you just part of the community? Thanks again P.S. How can we obtain this mod? Will it remain after each update?
  4. Hi BTD! Here's a cockpit clip from a Viper at an airshow. I don't know how to edit video but check out 5:55 - 6:30. Goes from the top of a Split S at probably 150-200 into a high speed pass probably 600+ You can hear the wind on the windshield. I know it's a Viper but the Hornet should be very similar Cheers Mate!
  5. BTD...brilliant mod on the engine sounds! Can actually hear the engines now during a carrier landing. Thank you much! Still very little difference with the windshield air rush...same at 150 knots or 700 knots. Anything we can do with this? Thanks again!!!
  6. Thank You sir! Will try this tonight!
  7. Hi all, There seems to be a change in one of the updates. There used to be a very discernable increase in canopy wind rush sounds with airspeed at one point in the past. This is gone now. This gave audible feedback of increase and decrease in airspeed without having to read it off the HUD. Haven't flown fighters but have flown civilian jets for 30+ years and I could tell airspeed just from the wind noise. Also, there is much less audible engine sounds with various RPM's. From watching cockpit videos, the pilot can definitely hear increasing and decreasing engine whine with throttle. Is this something that could be looked at? Is there a way for me to open and modify these sound files? Thanks in advance!
  8. First off, great kudos to the whole ED team on a fantastic new module! But the full flap landing behavior is driving me nuts! I have flown as Capt. on 2 Boeing and 2 MD airliners, also several business jets from a Lear 24 to the Gulfstream 650 currently. Something is just not right on approach. I understand trimming for an AOA and using power for glidepath control....but when perfectly stabilized, a 1 percent change in LP RPM causes a HUGE increase or decrease of sink rate of 500 fpm or more. That is just not possible....it's like trying to balance a ball on top of an inverted bowl. No aircraft could be so unstable! Before you all flame me, I work part time at Flight Safety International LGB as a simulator instructor and am deeply involved in simulator testing and certification on a Level D device. I also had a chance to fly the F-18 sim at El Toro M.C.A.S. before it was moved years ago and was able to put in on the carrier deck with just a little coaching. Something is not right, I hope it gets addressed. Cheers

  10. I also found on Google, the supersonic climb while vertical was a specially stripped down model called the Streak Eagle...
  11. Thanks! Makes sense....the thrust of the engines would decrease a lot as you climb.....
  12. Hello all, Been playing since Flanker 1....just upgraded to Flaming Cliffs 3 and the F-15C. Question on performance.....The F15C has almost 50,000lbs of total thrust in AB. The AC while clean with no external stores weighs significantly less. I believe the real AC is capable of a true vertical climb while accelerating at the same time. The Flaming Cliffs AC is not even close to this capability. Am I missing something? Never flow a fighter but have lot's of real experience in Boeing, Airbus and various business jets....
