[Error Initialization Terrain]

Hey guys,

I updated to 1.5.5 a few weeks ago and since the I get "error initialization terrain" when I try to start a flight. I've tried repairing, reverting to older version but nothing has worked. Does somebody know what I could do? I've also uninstalled all my mods.

[Updated to 1.5.5 now i can't start any mission]

Hey guys,

I just updated to 1.5.5, but I haven't had the chance to try it because I can't fly any aircraft. When I click the OK button at the bottom of the window, the screen quickly flickers to the loading screen and the comes back to the Mission page. If I try to start an Instant Action, when I click on a scenario to start it i get to the loading screen but I'm greeted with an error message saying "error initialization terrain" and I can only come back to the menu. If try to Create Fast Mission, I end up on the loading screen but nothing happens after that there isn't even a loading bar.

I've uninstalled all my mods and tried repairing a couple of times it doesn't change anything.

Does somebody have an idea what might be wrong?

I just finished the campaign and it was a blast. I can't wait to fly the rest of it when it comes out. Any estimate on when to expect it?

Hi,

I would like to install your mod but, I can't find the autoexec.cfg file with DCS 2.0.2so all the texture are missing. Any idea why it's not in the folder and what to do with it?

Sadly it didn't work I still have no music, but when I flew the mission I managed to call Berlin ATC so I suspect it might have something to do with the mission itself, I don't have any knowledge about mission creation but maybe nothing is being broadcasted on 135.4. If I had a clue what to look for I would try to check in the mission editor but I don't think I'd find anything because of my very limited knowledge.

I've done the first mission, well almost I crashed like 1 or 2 miles from the FARP while trying to change frequencies to request landing. So far it was nice but I could not figure out how to listen to the music on 135.4, I'd be grateful if someone could quickly explain me how to use the radio because even though I follow the operation in the Huey manual I can't seem to make it work.

Yeah, C:\Program Files\ is usually protected by Windows.

 

In the Windows Explorer, you get asked whether you really want to change a file in that directory, but DCS simply can't write there (well, the installer can, but not the Mission Editor).

 

Try to copy the file to some place where you can edit it, like the Saved Games\DCS folder, and once done, copy it back to the campaign folder using the Windows Explorer.

Hey guys,

I had the same problem so I tried to go to the mission editor and change the start time to 8:30, but when I try to save I get the following error message:

"Can not open file, recording is not possible C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\Uh-1H\Missions\en\Campaigns\en_UN-Pilot_02.miz"

 

I've tried to restart the campaign but it doesn't fix the issue.
