Well that is actually it. Although from the testing i did i had to turn the radio volume down and up every time i wanted to contact. But yes that workaround actually works, just down and up the volume every time you want to contact, since apparently it resets the volume to mute since the latest patch (well, for me and possibly a few others at least, that is). Thanks a lot Ramsay, while tedious, and hope it gets solved quickly, at least the workaround makes it so you can use the radio.

I'm having the same issue. Must point out I'm using the steam version of the game (not necessarily because i want to, but thats a whole different issue i hope to eventually solve). Glad to see I'm not the only one. Initially I made a video showcasing the issue since I wasn't even sure how to explain it. I'm not sure how far the problem goes but my main problem I noticed is the lack of response from the ATC, even though the radio menu keeps progressing so I assume it does acknowledge my radio messages. Tried flying to a few different Airports without any luck. Must add, after patching, the ingame cockpit STICK was invisible. I managed to get it back by toggling on and off the invisible stick option in the Options menu, but that makes me think this latest patch caused a few issues. Testing with the Su-25T there doesn't seem to be any issue, as shown in the video.
