I'm more than a little confused here. I want to pick up a couple of modules. I primarily play the 2.x version so I'd be purchasing these modules on the website, or should I purchase them on Steam and grab the key from them there? I don't want to be forced to purchase modules twice when the main Steam release is finally updated, and it seems now that will be a guarantee since everything on the E-Shop is incompatible with Steam... Can I get some insight? Why on Earth is there still a totally separate version of the game, totally divorced from Steam? This seems needlessly complicated and is causing confusion.

Hopping on this because I can't find it posted in a sticky... which version of the game is being updated to 2.5? Which version of the game should I be purchasing modules for? Looking at the shop, everything there is no longer Steam-compatible, so everything being sold right now is incompatible with the "live" version of the game, relegated to beta/alpha 1.5/2.1 only. So what happens with the modules I buy right now? Do I have to purchase these modules twice?
