  1. It happened to me as well on multiplayer at least twice about a week ago. I was at 40k ft with hard-lock on target at 4k ft head on. When I was about to fire at about 14nm I lost my lock. I tried to regain lock on them but even following closely the AWACS indications they never show up again on the VTB. So after a 180° turn I tried again (this time I was at their six) with no success. Then even the AWACS lost them and when I managed to lose altitude a SAM shot me down.
  2. I’ve open this topic to discuss on some features and perhaps bugs on the radar. In my track file I am behind a tanker running away from me at high altitude and I lock him with the cursor and in all CCM modes and then I manouvre pitch up and down to get the target out of radar scan zone limit. The things that I notice are: - Target-lock out of radar inclination limit In every lock mode the target is lost when the radar inclination marker reach the edge of the VTB instead of the mechanical limit of the radar antenna. - Super-radar It presents without any apparent “rule” in some radar lock modes when your antenna elevation reaches its limits. - CCM bug Exept for SVI and vertical scan modes, every time the lock is lost and you manage acquire a new one (also on the same target) you have to press the ”unlock target” button and reselect the scan mode. - automatic re-lock Once you get a PIC lock and you want to change target, it isn’t sufficient to point your nose away and press “unlock target” but you have to wait few seconds (3-5) in order to let your radar forget about the old target. - "unlock target" button In addition to strichtly unlock target it center also the tdc and the antenna elevation. my question is: that's how it should work? It would be usefull to interrogate targets in PID mode without search them each time we unlock them. Moreover we have specific buttons that center tdc and antenna. - radar roll stabilization Both su27 and f15 have it and i’m wondering if the mirage has it too. It would be pretty usefull when you have to deal with upcoming missiles while you shoot yours during hard evasion manouver to not lose the lock. Let me know what you think! radar_test.trk
  3. UP not yet :(
  4. Theoretically this behavior is correct. It's one drawback of delta wings which suffer high drag (and so velocity loss) at high angle of attack due to the huge tip vortexes.
