  1. I fly the P51 in VR quite a lot. Lately I've noticed that when I open the canopy (using the mouse wheel on the clickable handle) the point of view suddenly jumps backwards by about 3 feet. I find myself staring at the back of the pilot's seat, which is not great on finals. Recentering with F5 fails to fix it. It's as if the camera centre position is suddenly fixed to the canopy frame rather than the seat. It happens quite often but not every time. Anyone else notice this?
  2. True. But they are also strapped firmly into their seats. Turning the head continually to check six is physically demanding and causes neck problems for fighter pilots. I use 1:1 and I crane my neck to look round. It's uncomfortable, and I get shot down more often by planes I haven't seen. But it feels more real to me, and that's what I want. Indeed I look forward to the day when everyone is similarly constrained and I don't have to fight against pilots with robo swivel heads and zoom vision.
  3. Thanks for sharing. I came here searching for exactly that problem. In my opinion this behaviour has been introduced very recently, maybe in the last update. I have been starting the P51 the same way in VR for about 2 years, and since taking the update, clicking on the left panel or the fuel pump switches (i.e. anything near the left edge of the physical screen) causes all controls to stop responding. Not even key presses work until I Alt-Tab out and back in.
  4. Thanks for the tip. The alt+enter did a funny thing - the VR display went black and the game crashed to desktop. However, following the spirit of your advice I selected "full screen" in the settings menu whilst running from 2d. Now I can click on the "fly" button at last, although I still have to be quite deliberate about where I put the cursor. Thanks again, :)
  5. Hi, I upgraded to version 1.5.4.55169 today. I now get the curvy menu window in the hangar with the Mig 29 instead of the old 2d screen. I should first say that I quickly tired of having to stare directly at the button I wanted on the menu, because the mouse won't move the cursor. Choosing "use mouse" in VR made that effect go away, but... The OK and Cancel buttons now don't work on any menu. The only way out of settings menu is to hit the X at the top right, which cancels the selection. So I have to power down the Vive and restart the game in non-VR mode if I want to change any settings. Same thing happens in the game launch. The splash screen that says "hit pause or fly to continue" has a "fly" button but clicking on it does not work. I have to hit the X. Then I have to fumble around to find the pause button in order to unpause the game (and I'm not sure that works every time). Equipment: HTC Vive GTX 1080 Windows 8.1
