Hi guys.Thanks so much for all the advice,all of you. It's not overheating,as it may crash only a few minutes into playing. As for install,i just followed the instructions,staightforward. As for VCard it seems a few have confirmed it can't be as theirs play fine with the type. I did notice that the joystick (logic attack 3) seemed to aggravate the problem,crashing sooner and more often than when i tried it just keys. I havent played it for a couple weeks,but i'll try altering the options on my DTop,and the VC. I have the VC set maximum to performance (frame rate) away from quality-as the FR's were a little slow with the cloudy overcast settings. Cheers

ah,better if you say what should happen in the procedure?:) sorry,i cant remember..It installed just as my other big games do,yet this has the problem..? What is AA/AF? is it anti alaising? re the video card? Maybe its to do with the settings on my VC.I will try some alterations

Thanks for your reply. I am quite new to computers,hence don't just come out with all the jargon,not familiar. I have tried running it via admin,and just clicking the icon-either way it crashes,and it can crash at any time-in flight,taxiing whenever you see,so i dont think its to do with the pc not handling the game.The video card is inbuilt NVIDEA GFORCE 8400.Someone did suggest i aquire a 512mb,but then i read that this is probably not the case.My hard drive has only a small percentage used. I have reinstalled it twice,so i think its installed correctly.No other processes are running in the background.perhaps settings,im not sure. sorry,i am frustrated as i love the game.appreciate any help. BTW,a window just pops up saying ''lock on has stopped working,windows is ?checking''.

all i can say is that you people are lucky if lock on plays fine,,because lock on crashes on my system,sometimes once every 2 hours,sometimes 4 times..just says 'lock on has stopped working' or the picture just freezes. there is nothing wrong with my PC (a new quad core athlon AMD phenom64,3 gig ram,2.2 htz,GFORCE 8400 VCard). i dont reckon its the video card,256mb. i am VISTA windows,and its not vista surely.JUST MY F'F'#'#P;K LUCK,THATS WHAT IT IS,and sod all can help me with it,it seems:doh::huh::mad:

NVIDIA 8400 G force I don't think it has anything to do with lack of processing power.Perhaps the disk is corrupted. Whatever it is,i know the joystick exaccerbates the problem.The thrust control on the Logicattack 3 joystick doesn't work with Lock on,too (it does on falcon allied force,FS2004).

Not using Norton,no. My video card is built into the PC.It's NVIDEA 256mb,quite adequate i thought.Someone did suggest i should upgrade to a 512mb (for FSX). The game runs fine,real smooth (with the VC slide toward performance,as opposed to quality)

Thanks.I had to do that to run lock on initially,as it wouldn't play. So it should play without crashing if i run it this way? Yes,the resolution is same as desktop (i think,better check) Cheers

Hi all. I purchased Lock on several weeks ago.For some reason it crashes (interrupted by ''lock on has stopped working bla bla''). I tried playing it without the Logitech attack 3 joystick-and it played for much longer-but again eventually crashed.Perhaps the joystick was exasipating the problem,but not THE cause of it. My PC runs Lock on fine,with 50 frames PS,maybe down to 20 PS on overcast sky at times.It has nothing to do with excess processing (happened whilst taxiing). Anyone know if there is a solution to this problem.I love the game.Its a real bummer! I use an Athlon64 phenom (3 gig RAM,2.2 GHZ) quad core.Vista. Cheers
