  1. cool no worries
  2. Hi, I logged on to purchase the FC3 content as a gift for one of my friends who is looking to get started in DCS World and I notice that the sale has ended. I don't feel that I am the only customer who believes the sales should to until 12am the start of the following day local time. It's still Feb 14, 2019 on my timezone. Nowhere in the sale details does it state the sale will end on a specific timezone. It's possible I misunderstood the sale would be honored through the end of Feb 14, 2019? If sales follow a specific timezone (ie. GMT), I would like to request that sales go until the end of the day local time for all customers. If this is not feasible, maybe consider mentioning the actual end of the sale timezone, so customers can plan better. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/news/2019-02-01_LunarSale/ Regards, LS
  3. Thanks for all of the details everyone
  4. Hi, I have been attempting to replay trk files. However I am finding that bombs and other actions are way off target from what they actually where during the mission flight. In some cases my plane crashes, when in reality this never happened. I am seeing my trk files are not accurate from the mission flight and I would like to know if this is a known issue and if there are any remedies? (config, etc.) Thanks, LS
  5. I look forward to the 2.5 release and I am interested to see if the devs address the memory challenges.. Below helped stabilize 2.2 for me. - changed page file to 10gb - deleted all miz files from .\Saved Games\DCS.openalpha\Missions - deleted all trk files from .\Saved Games\DCS.openalpha\Tracks\Multiplayer - moved mod files out of .\Saved Games\DCS.openalpha - ran dcs_updater.exe cleanup - ran dcs_updater.exe repair - moved mod files back into .\Saved Games\DCS.openalpha The mon I ran showed DCS.exe peak at 15.5GB virtual memory and 5.2GB physical ram usage. The RAM usage seems sketchy to me, however there are no baselines available of what normal DCS resource consumption ranges are.
  6. Holy crap memory leak issue... With the most recent 2.2 update, the game is unplayable. Turns out there seems to be some memory challenges. The most recent challenges is, hop in an MP server, play for maybe 15mins, then DCS completely closes unexpectedly. Looking through my logs it appears DCS was consuming 15GB. Event ID 2004 Windows successfully diagnosed a low virtual memory condition. The following programs consumed the most virtual memory: DCS.exe (1944) consumed 16669904896 bytes I'm convinced the coding of both 1.5 and 2.0 continue to go in the toilet from the stability aspect, which is more critical when it comes to play ability for consumers. I would like to find out there is something being done to patch/fix this issue and/or if there is something consumers like myself can resolve by modifying a config file. Anything would be helpful at this point.
  7. Hi, When connecting to MP servers I experienced extreme slowness while attempting to select a role. After selecting a role I am dumped in the server, however the cockpit is invisible, there is extreme lag and recently the plane cockpit doesn't render. Now DCS automatically closes (crash) without any message or warning pop up. My system specs: OS: W10 Pro build 1709 CPU: i7-7700K RAM: 16GB Graphics: nVidia 1060 6GB Disk: SSD 1TB Issue: DCS hangs and never renders then crashes without any message while attempting to connect to any MP server in 2.0 (current 2.6 update) Troubleshooting: Restarted PC Disabled FW/Virus software Checked system/graphic drivers are current Ran dcs_updater.exe cleanup Ran dcs_updater.exe repair Ran a procmon and examined, but found nothing specific enough App events captured: Event ID 1000 Faulting application name: DCS.exe, version: 2.2.0.12448, time stamp: 0x5a2a6cf5 Faulting module name: edCore.dll, version: 2.2.0.12448, time stamp: 0x5a278e84 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x000000000000bc2b Faulting process id: 0x15cc Faulting application start time: 0x01d3776bc1b0cb92 Faulting application path: C:\DCS World 2 OpenAlpha\bin\DCS.exe Faulting module path: C:\DCS World 2 OpenAlpha\bin\edCore.dll Report Id: 74e196b8-bf37-4393-9f5c-ef38d58f5746 Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: Event ID 1000 Faulting application name: dwm.exe, version: 10.0.16299.15, time stamp: 0x7f22d77c Faulting module name: dwmcore.dll, version: 10.0.16299.125, time stamp: 0x5eb910be Exception code: 0xc00001ad Fault offset: 0x000000000019503a Faulting process id: 0xc58 Faulting application start time: 0x01d3776b217f3a45 Faulting application path: C:\WINDOWS\System32\dwm.exe Faulting module path: C:\WINDOWS\System32\dwmcore.dll Report Id: 44666a01-09d2-4291-bb17-974a90da866c Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: I enjoy flying in DCS, however the slowness delays while connecting and now the crashing is getting to the point where I am unable to fly. I appreciate any help that anyone may be able to provide in possibly resolving this issue. Regards, Lost
