i have not changed my avatar since the creation of its account, 2008! this is the best thing in the world. helicopters are so much cooler, always has been. they are mechanically complex machines, just beautiful machines more so than a airplane, just my opinion. i couldnt ask for more really, maybe better ground targets but the D version is more than i can ask for. The moment you put it up for sale i will buy it, i will wait until 2021 is over for this.

yup that's the first thing i tried, but nothing happens. even tried mapping to different key, still no body shows up.

I was gonna buy it a couple of days ago for the full price, but today when I went to pay for it, I saw it was on sale, so I was like oh cool. Anyways, so far iam loving it, graphics are wayy better, even with the better graphics, BS2 runs better on my computer with max settings than bs1 did, it's everything BS1 should have been imo. But I was only disappointed with 1 thing, bs2 has no "show pilot body" unless I missed it. Any reason to this? This game would be perfect and complete if it had it. BS2 was the best purchase I made this month. BS2 really is all that and a bag of chips. Anyways my question is, will pilot body ever be added to bs2?

Can you play with these settings or only take screenshots? :)
at that resolution easily playable with max settings max view dist, etc.

I still think the Arma 2 engine would be better, take a look at these screenshots I took.
This game has more depth than any game ive seen out there. (engine wise of course). I can set off a 7.5 KT Nuke at the other end of the map and will be able to see it from this distance.

As I said above, the nice detail that CryEngine can produce goes to the absolute toilet as soon as you leave the ground. Creating a beautifully looking engine for flight simulation is done using completely different techniques.
I agree that CE2 would not be great for a combat flight sim, but thats not a fair screenshot to compare it to lol

Thats fine that you have eternal views disabled, but I however like to have it enabled while playing single player, if that doesnt make me a "real sim pilot" then so be it, I never looked at myself as one. Dont get me wrong, I dont play in arcade mode, I just like to have external view. Now when playing online, its a different story cause you have no control over it and i dont mind that either.

1. Is the key (F eight) assigned to another program such as TrackIr?
I couldn't assign my wingmen Data Link targets since F9 was "TrackIr On/Off toggle", had to assign it to another key (now ALT+Pause/Break) that Black Shark doesn't use.
2. Have you enabled External view in settings AND in mission?
Yep, I went into key configs and put it all on default, even double checked. I also have the option "Use these settings for any mission" and I have External views checked. Also just to make sure, I made my own map, I enforced "External views", still nothing. I even tried changing the keys to something else, like Left alt + pause/break, still nothing. I even tried a different keyboard, same thing..
can you tell me what happens when you press F8 and you have a target locked ? What happens.

I'm not 100% sure but are you locking your target first then pressing f8?
Yup :( in fact, several other views dont work when I hit it. Maybe it had something to do with my saitek keyboard ? or maybe im just doing it wrong.

Im really trying not to come across as a jerk, but can I tell you why people think the original looks better ? Just my opinion but lose the plugged art, what I mean by that is dont use plugins, like for example the line of fire thing, that thing screams plugin, people dislike it. Dont take this the wrong way since I DID THE EXACT SAME thing many years ago and someone was honest enough to tell me. The 3rd and last pic are my favorite from the bunch, also the bubble buttons with the gloss are a no no. Regardless, keep it up.

Ive had this problem as well, what I did to finally make youtube accept the HD quality is used Windows Movie Maker and then saved my project to wmv. At first I was using megui, but for some reason the HD button was never enabled on the youtube site.

just wait, yeah i get you were expecting it but at this point we have waited for it this long might as well just wait a little bit longer if we need to. i preorder because i wanna pay and forget about it, plus you are getting it cheaper because of it, not worth it to cancel or try to, just my opinion.
