I think your missing my point...I have no problem learning the aircraft systems for the modules that don't support the game modes...when I have the time. But now and then I like to just get into the game to fly and blow @#it up with the sense of a bit of realism without the technical side of things. For you hardcore simmers it's easy...just turn the game modes off! I just think it would be good to still have the choice between Game Modes & Sim Modes!

From what I read...there isn't anything currently in development regarding MAC.

I know that the Game Modes don't work on all Modules...I didn't mind that as I have quite a few 3rd Party Modules. But, I don't have time to sit for hours on end learning new systems for the aircraft...constantly rebinding keys like you hardcore armchair pilots who probably spend most of your time looking at a screen & I don't see how devs could be wasting too much time on the game modes considering the complexity of rest of the sim itself. And I didn't have any issues with switching between Game modes & Sim modes. Like I said before...not everyone are hardcore simmers!

According to the website...1 of the key features in 2.8 is: 'Both hardcore realistic and casual gameplay modes'. In Open Beta now it only has Game Flight Mode & NO Game Avionics Mode. I'm a very casual player so the Game Avionics Mode was very handy for me to jump to instant action without having to worry about learning systems on most of the modules and having a bit of fun. Since I usually use Open Beta I haven't updated DCS World because I don't want to lose the Game Avionics Mode and now I can't use some of my latest purchases in DCS World because I need to update. So...has Game Avionics Mode been taken out of DCS Open World 2.8? If it has...could you please bring it back for both platforms? I'm sure there are many other who want the same! Cheers

Hi Weta43, It doesn't work! The default bindings and re-assigned bindings are just not working? I'm using a wireless keyboard & mouse and changed it back to wired thinking that it may be the problem. My other modules don't have any issues.

Yeah...thanks guys! Maybe a 'Lemon' was a poor choice of words, but like I said...I'm not an expert armchair pilot and I don't spend all my time in DCS, and I'm not that stupid. I do know how to re-bind the keys as with the modules I already have. Even with rebinding...they are still not working correctly on the F/18C for me!

I've been looking forward to the F/18C from DCS...but right now I'm really disappointed! I can't say that I'm an expert armchair pilot, but I have quite a few of the modules from DCS such the Harrier, F-5, Viggen etc and I don't seem to have a problem with basic flight. The only problem I have is learning all the different systems for each aircraft. I was so eager to download the F/18C and try it out. The first thing I did was Instant Mission: Carrier Takeoff. On all of my modules I assign the Thrust/Throttle to my throttle control slider. Anyways...I'm ready for take off...all visuals indicate I'm at full throttle...launch, gear up...flaps to auto...etc. Go to external view, visuals show afterburner, gear up etc...but wait, somehow I'm losing airspeed...in the drink! I've read some of the comments on the Hornet and it seems that I must be the only one with a 'lemon'. Or maybe I'm missing something? Even some of the default keyboard bindings don't work such Speed brake, Wheel Brake. The default keyboard binding for the thrust is numpad + & - but even that doesn't work! My other aircraft don't seem to have any problem, just the F/18C. So, before I rip a hole in my computer screen and kick the living hell out of my computer casing...could someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong? Or if someone else is having similar issues?

Hi, Just wondering...I get a news letter stating that STEAM is having a summer sale on DCS Modules 40% OFF...So, when is the DCS E Shop having a sale too? I've been out of the flight sim scene for a while and during that time I've received many news letters with sales on all DCS modules over several years. Now that I'm back into it...I haven't seen any significant sales at all on all modules? I'd like to buy more modules, but their just too expensive! ...just saying!
