Hi Guys
I have been busy working on the My previous skin for VPAF MiG21 '5015' of 921st FR 'Sao Do' flown by Nguyen Van Coc 1968
as it wasn't compatible with DCS World 2.9.
The Skin has been Completely Re-Worked also the Pilot has been changed to have a more Vietnamese appearance.
I tried upscaling from the original but it just didn't fit or look right with the new Template layout.
Here are some Screeshots and the Link
Kind Regards
Keith

Ju 88 F6+DN of 5.(F)/122 Winter,Eastern Front 1942.I have changed the default Aircrew Flying Suit to Fleece lined Winter version.
I have also included a Generic NO CODES version that can be coded as desired.
To install You will need WW2 Assets Pack.
then place skins here: DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\tech\WWII Units\Liveries\Ju-88
NOTE: There is NO Ju-88 folder in the Liveries folder by Default so You will need to create one and place yours skins there.
Also in the Mision Builder make sure to assign the Aircraft to Germany or the skin
option wont show.- 4

Pilot Summer Suite_Without Sleeve Rank InsigniaI made these skins using My own Multi Layered Template using the standard Luftwaffe RLM 70-71-65 colours and also reduced the chipping as the original was a little to much.
I also changed the Pilot flying uniform to look like the Summer all in one suite with the option of sleeve rank and without sleeve rank.
The Machine Guns metallic colour also looked too light so I gave them a darker Gun Metal Blue finishTo install You will need WW2 Assets Pack.

Thanks Keith!
Part of the rules for module prizes was that they had to be DCS built modules. Since I already had every DCS module except the F-16 (which I downloaded but haven't done much with yet) Nineline and Bignewey graciously offered miles instead. So, I DL'd the Viggen (again, haven't flown much yet) and I'm just sitting on the miles for now.
Hi Rick
That's great, and very generous of Nineline and Bignewey
Have fun flying the Viggen

I am looking for a post WWII aluminum skin, preferably with Air Force markings. This is so the Fortress can stand in for the B-29 in Korean War era missions. Has anyone seen something like this?
Hi Mate
There is a user made Mod for the B-29 by DOL
Here is the link http://virtualcockpits.web.fc2.com/mod/dcsw_b-29/dcsw_b-29.html
also some awesome skins too by Target21 https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3305835/

Thanks, tried to set up a livery (skin) but probably did something wrong regarding changing luas and incorporating your dds edited files all in a JSGME file.
Probably to do with that weird location in WWII units for the B-17. Had no problems with skins made with Urbi's c47 template and ported into the 'normal' liveries folder with JSGME.
Alas i give up now, have to go offline for a while, and experiment on later. I hate that complex livery placement business in DCS. They should redesign this stuff LoL.
Hi Mate
Just Copy/Paste Custom B-17 Skins directly into B17-G Liveries folder, they should remain after any Update.
I used OVGME for Mods mostly rather than Liveries
-
Hi Mate
Happy to Oblige
The reason the json file is the only zip file because it is applied to the the root B-17 Shapes folder and will effect all aspects of the Module
whereas the Rotor changes will apply exclusively to Custom made skins that require the Mirror Effect and will be part of that skins folder.

Thanks. Can one do this file manhandling via JSGME?
Hi jackd
It should be compatible with JSGME with this Zip file B-17 Metallic Mod_By Warlord64 (mediafire.com)
I use and OVGME works fine so should also work JSGME

B-17 metallic downloaded skins show up as light grey non-metallic. One of the things I like about DCS WWII is the metallic skins. What AAm I doig wrong settings wise?
Nothing Mate, the Grey look is just how the game is set up.
Here is a link to a Mod I made that addresses this issue

Hi Keith
Fixed the original post. For some reason if I chose "Post as link" it pointed to that Russian language link. I changed it to "Post as plain text". Weird, they are both the same copy / paste.
Thanks Rick
That's odd, must be some kinda Glitch I suppose

MIG-19 of VPAF_6032_ Nguyễn Hon Son of 925th Fighter Regiment 1972.
in MiG-19
Posted
Hi Guys
I see that Nealius and My good Buddy Andy (Basco1) were wanting to see VPAF Mig-19s
so I made this is a representation of a Mig-19 Shenyang J-6 flown by Nguyễn Hon Son of the 925th Fighter Regiment 1972.
The Pack contains Aircraft 6032 flown by Nguyễn Hon Son and a 'No Codes' Aircraft with Bort Numbers Enabled.
I have also given the Pilot a More Vietnamese Appearance.
Andy in particular wanted More VPAF Mig-19 and 21s to Hunt when He finally gets The Phantom F-4.
Happy Hunting Fella's
Regards
Keith
