Steam version runs more stable. I use the steam version primarily because it just runs better. That being said, u do have to wait longer for updates and modules to come out but it's worth it too me. Lot less crashes and bugs in the steam version. Plus steam sales! Steam sales usually put 20% off sumtimes more on dcs modules. That alone makes the steam version worth using to me.
