  1. Hi Does anyone know of a sure fire way of ensuring that OTT is having an effect? The reason I ask is that I open in order: OTT- Oculus- DCS, and if I change PD on OTT to say- 1.5 and 0 or 50 in DCS, the fonts are unreadable. If I then change PD back to 1.5 in DCS, things are back to normal. I'm experimenting with various settings for the Quest 2, but it's hard to know if OTT is actually working. Thanks
  2. I did . Looking around was the same.
  3. Hi ,Pretty new to VR, and wondering if any one could advise at all please. I have updated to latest version of DCS (2.5.6..) and also installed Kegety's shader mod in readiness. My first observation is that when in sitting in the cockpit before even starting up, just looking around is quite jerky, is the cockpit frames and dials etc do not move smoothly in the view when moving my head around. When trying free flight, the outside visuals are not jerky and the frame rate is very acceptable. It literally seems to be the "looking around" that's stuttery. Specs: Oculus Rift I5 9600k stock GTX 1070 16gb ddr ram Module is Spitfire MK IX. I've got PD set at 1.5. Appreciate any ideas?
  4. Hi Bignewy Have attached log. I can confirm I have been logged into DCS account. I've also attached a pic of everything grayed out. The only way out of this is to end through task manager. cheers dcs.txt
  5. Hi Thanks for the reply. I think I wasn't clear- ALL items are greyed out on the home screen, including start missions, modules, exit, every single item is unavailable. Thanks
  6. Hi Having just had to perform a clean install of windows 10, I also reinstalled DCS 2.5 and Oculus. I created a second DCS shortcut using the "dcs.exe --force_disable_VR" text. When this boots, every menu option seems to be disabled. The only way I have found to get them working is to bring up task manager as if I was going to terminate DCS, and then exit task manager, and then they seem to work. Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this? TIA
  7. I usually go with 1920 X 1200
  8. Just wondering, if the 1060 doesn't cut it for VR, and it'll be a while before I go that route, is it worth the upgrade from 1050 ti to 1060 at this point? Just a bit concerned that the 1050 would bottleneck the new CPU though.
  9. Hi I want to upgrade my current i5 2550 (locked), 16GB 1333 DDR3 and 1050TI system, for DCS, and hopefully use VR down the line. I put the following components in my basket, and before I pull the trigger, just wanted to gauge opinion on the choices being worthwhile within my limited budget? MSI GeForce GTX 1060 6GT OC V1 6GB GDDR5 VR Ready Graphics Card, 1280 Core, 1544MHz GPU, 1759MHz Boost Intel Core i5 9600K, S 1151, Coffee Lake Refresh, 6 Core, 6 Thread, 3.7GHz, 4.6GHz Turbo, 9MB, 1150MHz GPU, 95W, Gigabyte Z370 AORUS ULTRA GAMING 2.0-OP, Intel Z370, S1151, DDR4, SATA3, Dual-M.2, ATX Motherboard w/ 32GB Intel Optane 16GB (2x8GB) Corsair DDR4 Vengeance LPX Black, PC4-19200 (2400), Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 14-16-16-31, XMP 2.0, 1.2V Opinions much appreciated!
  10. Hi all Apologies if this is the wrong forum, but I can't post on the support forum for some reason. Could anyone please give me any advice? I Installed DCS world in 2013 and purchased 2 modules A10 and P51. I subsequently left Canada and moved back to UK, and am now trying to update DCS so I can buy more modules, but have no access to my old email and can't reset the password. The DCS site specifically says do not open unnecessary accounts and to provide any additional info. I opened a ticket, #64758 and the best advice I got was to open a new account because my current email wasn't tied to an account.. I know that already, and explained that on the ticket! I have had no reply to my further emails. Obviously without the old email I have no access to the serial Nos. Is there any options open to me to avoid re-buying already purchased modules? I can provide names, rough dates purchased etc.. Many thanks
