  2. Surely ED will incur a high percentage of lost sales if they employ an unpopular activation system? Of course I respect ED's right to protect their property and, as I said earlier in this thread, I have no problems with SF or whatever CP is used. But if the final word from ED is that online/telephone activation will be required then, sadly, I'll have to give this series of games a miss. Which is a bit of a downer really.
  3. Is there a realistic chance of that? I don't mind StarForce, or any other copy protection, but online activation is a real deal breaker for me. I upgrade my hardware regularly and as a result I reformat several times a year. I also don't connect my gaming rig to the internet. I'm sorry to hear the game has been hacked. I was delighted when I read, a week or so ago, that there would be no online activation required, but now, pfft. **** those hackers!
