    So often I see them on MP servers, guys who's only way to do it seems to be to set max power and lift the helo up as quickly as possible to then hopefully manage to somehow transition into a forward flight that stabilizes the initial erratic wobbling. I guess when they then zoom across the map (leaving the power at max all the time of course) they have this voice in their head whispering "you are flying a helicopter, you did it!" with a satisfying grin and after some minutes of enjoyment, when boredom sets in, there is always this ultimate attempt to end the flight with some sort of landing. There is this impatient experiment of boolean alternation of the pitch lever. They get closer to the ground and as they do, speed reduces and the spin sets in. After some seconds of spinning and apprarently max/min power setting alternation each and every second, the helo eventually crashes into the ground and ends as the usual fireball. The voice in their heads then whispers "See, I knew this would happen, it's just pointless to do it any different than how I did the takeoff. Don't bother me with doing anything else than forward flight". Then they log off.

     

    How dare you have fun in your own ways!!11!1! 

    I could pose the same questions to those who fly for 2 hours in an orbit or just straight... also give them their time to learn!

    Where's do you draw the line between realism and sandbox, how do you rate "unrealistic" things, why is having 4 AGM-88s bad but having russian (fictional) F-18s is okay, why do the greeks have a circa 2007 National Guard's F-16? Restricting everyone's gameplay just because you want to "enjoy the most realistic F16 possible" while playing in a sandbox is counterintuitive. In no way a person flying his F16 in SP will affect your experience anyway and if you feel it to be unrealistic just don't carry 4 AGM-88, don't carry 6 Mavericks and enjoy this game.

    DCS is a sandbox and if someone wants to roleplay as an israeli F16 pilot carrying JDAMS on all pylons let him be even if this is a circa 2007 National Guard F-16, then let like-minded admins on MP servers make their own restrictions.

    TLDR: DCS is a sandbox

    Then if this is a 2007 National guard viper it shouldn't be available to any other country beside the US, it shouldn't be deployable in maps in which the national guard doesn't operate (or hasn't).

The most pressing issue out there is the fact that any player can fly the F-16, it's not realistic because look at real life applications to be pilots and then look at how many manage to graduate in fighters. It just doesn't fit and ruins my immersion seeing soo many fighter pilots (not realistic), more than limiting the weapons ED should limit the amount of F-16s to a more accurate degree, like out of 1000 DCS users only 10 manage to score enough to fly the F16 and thus can use it. 

    Also what ruins my immersion is the fact I cannot use the pee-bag in flight, this is a very concering issue as I know many pilots who did IRL and it kinda bothers me not being able to, you can check with your SMEs and they can confirm this.

  5. At this point, saying they are very close to announcing a "release date" is ridiculous. Comments like that are just more irritating than anything else at this stage. I mean, we know it'll release on or before 3/20, which is 4 weeks away. At this point, nobody is waiting for a date. We are waiting for a release, period.

    Ha! No thanks.

     

     

    Just release the stupid thing already, or don't...but stop dicking around.

    I'd rather delay it by one week or more, rather than having a buggy product, I don't care how long it takes, as long as its good.
