  1. Still very much a DCS noob, but I really like it, especially playing in VR in the Oculus Rift. Flying the SU-25T, I've progressed past the tutorial stage and I'm now beginning to play with campaign challenges. My biggest frustration is simply coming up on targets before I have time to properly get into weapons mode, locate the target on the tv screen while slewing with those awful standard keyboard shortcuts, and then set up for the kill. The blue labels on the target show up so late and they're always so far to the left or right of my nose that I spend my valuable targeting time trying to get myself flying straight and level at the target so I can jump out of flying for a minute while I search the tv screen for the tiny black dot that is the target. I always end up right over the target before I can get a shot off. Any advice or techniques you guys use for getting the plane aligned early with a target you can't see until you're really close to it? Thanks, Robert
  2. Hi, Pretty new to DCS World. Everything in 1.58 works fine. But in DCS 2.2 when I'm in my SU-25T, and I use Alt-3 for straight and level flight, sometimes the plane will dive and level out about 50' above the ground. Most times it just dives straight into the ground. This does not happen ever in 1.58. In 1.58 pressing Alt-3 causes the plane to lock the current altitude and level the wings. Thanks, Robert
  3. Thanks for all the suggestions. Pressing R-Shift O brought the pipper back.
  4. I 'think' it's the Su-25t, but I'll need to check when I get home. Thanks!
  5. Ahh, ok. Rangefinder. That makes sense also. Thanks for that!
  6. Ok, thanks. By "lowering sight glass" you mean lowering the nose when I'm in the air, right? When you say "click a few more times", I'm not sure I understand. The Su-25 does not have clickable instrument panel. I can press "D" over and over, maybe that will also help. Again, thanks!
  7. Hi, New to DCS 1.5 on Steam. I've gone through the Su-25 weapons tutorials and now I'm setting up some simple bombing missions for practice on my own. I've configured my Su-25 with unguided bombs and unguided missiles mounted to the pylons. When I get flying I select my bomb (D) and head toward targets and go into weapons mode (7), but now, unlike in the tutorial, there's no aiming pipper in the HUD when I'm in weapons mode. I'm sure it's something very simple that wasn't gone over in the tutorials, but I can't figure it out. Any idea what I might be doing wrong? Thx
