    Looking Glass's post in Bug With 2.5.6 VR Audio w/Headphones was marked as the answer   
    This problem seems to have been fixed in the latest update (Jan 2021). 

    My audio is now perfectly routed to Rifts headset (radios/comms) and surround sound system (main sound)
