  1. Ok so I seem to have found the solution. I reinstalled the latest Nvidia driver by removing it with DDU in safemode. This didn't work. I then downloaded an older driver version 391.35 and now it seems to work fine, didn't have a crash since :D So if anyone else has this problem try and rolback your drivers to an earlier version. I'm on a laptop so the drivers aren't the same but this is the one from Februari this year. I hope this helped out some of you :D
  2. Nah the 95 degree is not during DCS I should have mentioned that it only runs that hot when the cpu is fully stressed, like in a benchmark (prime95 or intelburntest) during DCS I can't even get it up to temperature anymore now because of the update that just released today... It's crashing almost imidiatly now... GPU doesn't get up to temp either... I've strestested my laptop with Furmark and intelburntest on for half an hour to see if it throttle's but it does not. Just the CPU is like 5 degrees from Tj max.... Apperantly that's normal in a laptop... I would love to go back to a desktop to not have this issue, but it's not possible because of my job... :/ Besides, every other game I have works fine, just like DCS did before the update... It can't be the hardware. It shouldn't be the hardware... If this can not run it then ALOT of pc's will not be abled to run it... Not many people own a high end desktop, only us gamers/simulator fanatics spend the money to get high end hardware. And this CPU is the 2nd highest model from last generation with a small margin... Even if it were to spit out some false data, which i highly doubt, DCS like many games should be abled to handle a small percentage of error, like a lagspike or something or a short framedrop, but not an instant crash like it does now... I'm sure it's software related, I'm not sure wich software though... I'm currently in the proces of rolling back the Nvidia driver to a previous version and i'll see how that goes... It is a certainty that the directx driver causes the crash, but the question is, is it because of false data from DCS (almost positive this is the case) or is it the driver code that is faulty... We'll find it probably... Thanks for the input though :)
  3. I have tried alot of different settings, absolute minimum I have not done completly but it was at settings that deffenitly should be no problem for the GPU. I normaly play in VR and I tried without VR and it still happened. It was in about the same timeframe. In VR I managed to fly for about 1 hour in 1 session but then it still crashed and after restarting the game straight after it crashed within 5 minutes... This made me think it was a temperature problem but the GPU stays below 80 most of the time, the CPU does get very hot (95) but never to the point of throttling and it is NOT overclocked. It has never caused any of my games to crash anyway. It just started happening after this update so I think it is related to that...
  4. Attached a zip with the logs.... Again the same problem this time without VR... In VR I couldn't not create a logdumpfilething because I didn't have a mouse cursor to click OK and using Enter didn't work either... Maybe something to look at for better future errorhandling. EDIT: I also did a completly clean driver install by removing the installed driver with Guru3D DDU and installed the latest 397.93 Nvidia drivers. It did give me an error during the install but it seems to work anyway. It didn't improve anything sadly.... Also DCS has been cleaned and repaired, this didn't help either... Also I'm flying online now and it has the same problem as during the training missions... dcs.log-20180531-225611.zip
  5. AAAAND again.... This is the last part of the log file wich seems to be the most relevant imho. It seems to me that I have found the error, because "DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED" seems to pop up in every logfile.... The problem is I have not found a fix yet... I found a topic about this on the forum suggesting turning off steam, I launched again and now I got this error log... Atempting a driver reinstall let's see what this does...
  6. Just crashed again.... Yesterday I finally managed to fly a little after getting rid of my overclock, but today even without the overclock it still crashes.... This only happend after the last update. And I already installed the latest drivers the day before... I'm hosting a server with alot of people in it enjoying the F18.... I'm the only one who can not enjoy it.... :-(
  7. So i've been flying DCS in VR with oculus for quite a while now and it has been fine untill today. Ofcourse I've always experienced the (sometimes extreme) lagging in online but the game rarely crashed on me. Now today when flying the training missions for the F18 it has crashed 4 times already... I'm not sure why but the sound, including the voice over, just continue playing but DCS gives me a crash report... Very annoying because I was really looking forward to this and this really kills my enjoyment of the flying the new F18.... My hardware: MSI GS73VR-6RF Core I7 6700 16 GB ddr4 ram GTX1060 6 GB I know it's not great for VR, but it's smooth enough on low settings. Yesterday I also downloaded and installed the latest Nvidia drivers. Here is the last part of one of the logs which shows an error right at the time of the crash: Thanks in advance for the help guys.
