Anybody on blue want to switch to a huey?

  2. The way it works is that each engine supplies hydraulic pressure to esch system, flight side is controlled by right engine and combined is controlled by the left. If either side falls below 2100 psi the bi directional pump will automatically kick on to try and maintain hyrdauilc pressure and keep the system operational. If the pressure falls below 500 psi for more than a few seconds it will turn the pump off. The backup mod kicks on if both systems fall below 2100 psi . The landing gear has a pneumatic emergency blow down if the handle is pulled out and lowered. The flap handle has a emergency down position but it was never functional to my knowledge, however the emergency up function was to get the aux flaps up .

  3. Eh happy as I am with my AMD system, it's a budget build. I got in cheap with a B450 and R5 2600, I'll slap a 3600x in there when I get around to it, not gonna bother to overclock, and it's all close enough, considering it's a game and all. Not everybody looks at it that way.

If i was to buy right now , it would be the new Ryzen, The processor is equal if not better to the Intels and you get the PCI-E 4.0 upgrade if you get the new motherboard with X-570 Chipset, pricewise you cant beat it and intel will be struggling to keep up. And AMD has kept the same socket for 3 generations now which is awesome, this will probably be the last year of the AM4 but still i like where they are going with it.

  4. I’ve seen several pilots tried DCS planes just to express their dissatisfaction with flight model. While I understand limitation of flight simulation to me F-14 flight model was exaggerated mess from day one :)

My TM Warthog doesn’t deliver anything that I can relate to real life stick and rudder flying LOL May be in universe of hardcore simmer it’s something that make sense, but in my case I’m totally frustrated. Lol

Kind of curious what you are basing that the F-14 Flight Model is an exaggerated mess. The F-14 is unlike any other plane DCS has offer. It is very hard to compare this aircraft to anything else you have flown in DCS. Having worked on the F-14 for many years and talking with several of the SME pilots that Heatblur used, the flight model is pretty accurate, and will continue to be tweaked as early access continues, but everything about this plane is pretty realistic so far, tjere will be bugs here and there and adjustments will be made but from this F-14 tech's point of they have done a hell of a job capturing the essence of the Tomcat.

  5. When I first get in a hot RIO pit, the AWG-9 cooling light is on with the switch in the up position so I was putting it in the down position to extinguish that light.

I imagine this is my answer. To confirm, the switch should in the up position?

Yes it should be in the up position

  6. You going to be there the whole weekend or just the 7th?

Eagle Dynamics at Flight Sim Expo

For those curious, I will be attending FlightSimExpo 2019 in Orlando on June 7th. I’ll mostly be at the Thrustmaster booth to help demonstrate the Hornet, but I also plan to show off some new modules coming later this year. I look forward to meeting many of you there!

  7. Great interview and good to see new squads forming as new models enter the DCS World, as F-14, AJS-37, Mig-21 and F-18 or any other future model for that matter. Great aircraft's and models, Best wishes CVW-11 with forming the squad, hope to see you participating in future DCS multiplayer events.

Yeah there is definitely some interest in getting involved in some of the multiplayer events such as SATAL , we got a few guys that fly in Blue Flag and thru the inferno as well. Glad you enjoyed the video and see ya in the skies

  8. I understand your disappointment, but it's directly at odds with how development works (at least for us). It's not a zero sum game. :)

    Well, e.g.:

    • LANTIRN went from being planned as barebones at EA to basically complete.
    • JESTER might be able to operate LANTIRN (not sure on this one yet)
    • New JESTER stuff (G incapacitation, injuries, more variation, more polish, bugfixing)
    • De-weathering some stuff that was too extreme
    • More custom foley soundwork
    • ..etc

The point is, we're using the additional time to add more stuff, fix more bugs, polish more things.

That doesn't mean it will be perfect (far from it!), it simply means that we can squeeze more things in that we wouldn't have managed if we launched on Dec 21st, or whatever date. It's still EA - just shades of EA.

You really really shouldn't expect that. Sorry. It's early access- there will be bugs. If we had marketed the F-14 as a non-EA release, then that would be reasonable.

I'm not a fan of hiding behind the EA title - and I think we approach EA a little differently than the market does these days, but please keep your expectations in check considering it is EA.

If we launch Mar 20th and will be crunching every day until then, it's only driven by our desire to make it as good as we can until launch day. The harder we work, the better it is.

I'm not sure how to describe the sheer panic of launching something that is judged by thousands of people. It's not a nice feeling.

Doing a great job guys , I know us at CVW-11 appreciate the work you guys are putting in and glad your taking the time to get it right even as much as we want it. o7
