Not entirely correct, you could easily exceed the Apache’s vne in a hurricane for example. Hovering would also be extremely dangerous in certain orientations with high enough winds.

The send button won’t appear if their assigned idm radio is set to a manual freq or has a preset with no members. They need to use the idm rocker to the correct preset.

You can adjust how many rockets are fired per salvo by pressing George right. Same with the gun.

I was this problem in MT as well today. When joining Levant, dcs crashed in the role select screen the first two tries. On the third attempt I removed the way which I had just installed and I got past the role select. I had some major stuttering at times and the f10 map was doing the same thing zooming and scrolling.

The regular jettison works fine for me with lmb. You have to push and hold it.

I just had the same thing happen yesterday when I went from the front seat to the back. The throttle lever I have bound was set to 100% during cold start and not touched again.

This was changed in the first April patch. See the changelog entry “Fixed: Dumping Vy and altitude holding is not IRL (WIP).”
There is a forum post somewhere around the time of this patch that explains it more but dumping collective too fast now induces roll.

I think the FARP needs specific units for red or blue. The Turkish vehicles might not work on whichever side you assigned them to.

Are you using Vista? If you don't run it as Admin I think Vista will write protect \program files which would explain some of your problems.
Its been said by ED that if you uninstall/reinstall without changing hardware it won't use an activation.

If you're talking about hearing Betty, you have to have your intercom on or all you will get is subtitles.

I've starting having this same problem. I think since I used the record AVI option in the mission editor. If I alt tab out to desktop I get a partial title bar in the top left of the screen but it won't go back into the game. I never used to have this problem.
Yes I can avoid alt tabbing in SP but in MP when I go from the cockpit back to the MP menu it drops to desktop and won't go back in. I have to ctrl alt del and relaunch which is a bit annoying.
I'm running Vista 32 bit with a 9800 GT. I haven't changed the drivers for any hardware since it was working, so I don't know what it could be other than using record AVI.

Turns out it was caused by my MCE v2 remote/eHome USB receiver. I found a solution to it here: http://forums.logitech.com/logitech/board/message?board.id=general&view=by_date_ascending&message.id=6634#M6634.

I just noticed the same problem in the Saitek SST software so I guess its something to do with my keyboard. Strange that Vista picks up the keys correctly.

I've seen this too... something with the order I turned the switches on. When I powered down all of the weapons/nav systems and repowered it, it started working. Sometimes when I'm having problems launching pressing Backspace and retargetting works.

When I map a command in the options, if I press the "=" key instead of showing up as "=" the game says I pressed the "Prev" key. The default mapping for Shkval 23x is "=" but if I don't remap it and try to use "=", nothing happens. If I remap it and press "=", the game detects it as "Prev" but it starts working then.
The problem is my "[" key. When I try to map it the game detects it as "AT" and it doesn't work.

What kind of keyboard do you use (please, provide link to description if possible)?
Try to clear (for example) ABRIS control keys (1, 2, 3, 4) and remap your =, [, ], \ keys to them - will they works?
Do you assign keys and fly simulator in the same mode ("real")? (stupid question, but...).
Do you use any 3rd party keyboard mapping software?
Did you change or replace any files from ..\Config\Input\Aircrafts\ka-50\*.* (ka-50_easy........) folder?
Its a Logitech 104 key PS/2 keyboard, using the standard Vista drivers (brand new install of Vista) and no 3rd party apps. The only apps I have running are the TrackIR software, Saitek profiler, Fraps, and Nod32.
I've tried with Nod32 disabled and enabled and I've tried running BS as admin. Vista's UAC is disabled. I haven't made any changes to the files in ..\Config.
I'm assigning and playing in simulation mode. This is how my keys map:
"=" maps to "Prev" and then works
"[" maps to "AT" and doesn't work
"]" maps to "["
"\" maps to "]"
None of my keys will map as "\"
So I have to use "]" and "\" for the tracking gate because they map to "[" and "]", and move the radio key from "\" to RCtrl Bkspc.
I'll try clearing an Abris key later and see if I can map one of the trouble keys in its place... but I think I've done something like this already.

I'm having a problem mapping my =[]\ keys in-game. I have to remap = to itself, then it shows up as Prev but works. [ doesn't work, but ] and \ map to [ and ]... so I remapped my radio key away from \ to fix my tracking gate size keys. All of my other keys work fine though (that I know of).
I had this problem with the Russian version on both XP and Vista 32. I thought it was an international keyboard issue and would go away with the English release but it hasn't.
I'm now using the English release in Vista 32 with a Saitek X52 Pro and TrackIR 4. Anyone know how to fix this problem?

Vaft is not the same as vne and hovering in certain orientations could easily push you over it.
Vaft and Vne are not a wind limitation, but wind affects your true airspeed. You can’t tell me that there aren’t wind conditions that ground helos that aren’t related to takeoff. Not that any of this really matters in the context of dcs.
