  1. No sir, not overclocking either CPU or GPU
  2. Hello all, Firstly, I love DCS; thank you so much for all your efforts on it! I've had the same issue shown in this thread since loading the 2.5.6 stable version. I've attached all the logs for you, but I will also summarize the steps I've taken without success: 1. Reverted to Nvidia driver 445.87 2. Completely reinstalled DCS from scratch 3. Removed ImageShop each time I tried to restart 4. cleanup & repair It still crashes nearly every time. I can occasionally get it to work, but then it almost always crashes at the next startup. Grateful for any help you can provide. /sh0rty dcs.log-20200608.zip
  3. Hi ya Flappie, happy to share what I know with the preface that I am no expert. Lots of the folks here know a great deal more than me. But here goes: Nvidia GeForce --> Verify/Update latest driver Nvidia Control Panel: +I borrowed settings wisdom from here: https://www.techporn.ph/basic-nvidia-control-panel-3d-settings-optimization-guide/ +The biggies were: -Power Management --> Prefer Maximum Performance -Virtual Reality Pre-Rendered Frames --> 1 I use MSI Afterburner to overclock the TitanX; you can find that here: https://www.msi.com/page/afterburner I used Heaven Benchmarking from Uniengine to optimize all the Nvidia & MSI Afterburner settings. You can find that here: https://benchmark.unigine.com/heaven JayZTwoCents has an excellent YouTube video on overclocking (although he uses Evga's software rather than MSI); you can find that here: Once I got the Heaven benchmark to run on ultra with an average FPS > 78 DCS 2.5.0 would run without crashing. Then I snuck up on the maximum settings within DCS to ensure stability. Hope it helps,
  4. Solved. Noob mistake leaving default nvidia settings on the new card. Thanks again SkateZilla for putting me onto the right path.

  6. Hello all, I am returning to DCSW after being away for a few years due to the impressive work Eagle has done and the addition of VR. 2.5 looks amazing in the YouTube videos I've seen and I'm eager go rejoin. Situation: +Fresh install (I removed and reinstalled the game after the original crashes) +No external mods of any kind +The game interface, module manager, logbook, encyclopedia, etc. work without fail +Any simulation mode: Instant Action, Training, etc. leads to game crash Actions Taken: +I followed BigNewy's excellent repair guide -Cleanup & Repair @ https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/faq/709/ -Crash Guide @ https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=202214 -No effect I'm afraid +I have both renamed and deleted the Saved Games DCS.openbeta folder repeatedly between attempts Details: +I've attached the log files and also added the output from DirectX's dxdiag utility to the zip file. +I've attached a screen capture of the DCS Systems Settings screen (they are the 'low' setting) +System details may be found in the dxdiag.txt file within the dcs.log***.zip attachment I am very grateful for both your time and wisdom here - thank you. sh0rty dcs.log-20180404-015434.zip
