Oh I did not play FC3 much since I got it. So last update and game time was around 1.5.xx something version that I did. Though I was much into the Lock On - many years ago work colleague told me about it. Got FC3, but due to playing Lock On via keyboard + mouse combo (i know, i know) and being able to map few crucial commands to a mouse (like locking a target + switching ammo + fire) and consequently not being able to map them to a mouse in DCS I kinda let it go and it was just sitting on my machine :) But I followed developments from time to time and came here as well. Since Lock On days this game has done really well. So I am about to get back into it - still with keyboard and a mouse :D But it can be done.

Indeed, DCS was creating shaders - it took more than 5 minutes in my case due to my specs. Without knowing this i thought it was crashing(since task manager indicated Not Responding). Everything works now, graphics are pretty cool in this version. Thank you very much for your help!

Thanks man! I did, prior to posting here, delete the entire DCS folder as well renaming MissionEditor (found that on the game site's faq) but situation was not resolved. However I had no idea that shaders are being created. So thx for the tip - later on when I got time will load up DCS and let it sit while it is creating shaders. Hope that will solve my situation. Will update this post accordingly :)

Greetings all. I have had a version 1.5.?? (not sure which one was it now) with Flaming Cliffs 3, for a long time now and decided to update few days ago. Got around 22gb downloaded. Now my DCS will not load anything - instant actions, campaigns nor multiplayer. I looked for the answers around the net, deleted users/user/saved games\DCS twice and that did not fix loading problem. DCS stops responding at around half a bar while loading the game. I am on windows 8, dx11, meet minimum requirements. Lot of dx11 errors in the log as well. Log is attached in .rar. Help is much appreciated. Two more things: "save password" is ticked yet DCS keeps asking me for it each time when I start it. and i noticed after deleting dcs folder under saved games that file failed.ofsh is created - in case that has something to do with loading problems. dcs.rar
