I just did a repair, reinstalled soundcard drivers, motherboard drivers, and in the sound menu options in game, went through all the different sound outputs until i had sound that stayed on

strange, I just reinstalled icue, then cycled through the audio options on each audio bit in DCS from default, realtek device, corsair headphones, speakers, then it started working again. ED gremlins strike again, then disappear after I needed it to work. The first two options it would play sound for half a second then mute, until i went to speakers. After it kept playing audio on speakers i switched it back to Default and it was working normal again. I just don't understand why it would frag all the audio, should have only been DCS related

yes, and all sound is bricked. DIscord, SRS, Youtube, background sounds. All gone when DCS is running. Soon as DCS is terminated all sound returns. No issues in other applications/games with sounds in background. Its strictly a DCS issue.

Patched today, lose all sound. Repaired twice, uninstalled sound drivers, uninstalled headset, and still nothing. Every sound becomes muted. Worked fine yesterday. Only program I lose all sounds. Everything else works fine AMD 2600X, 64GB Ram, 3070, MSI X470, Warthog, TrackIR5, TM pedals. Corsair Void Pro RGB Elite

i will once its done updating, I uninstalled it again, and reinstalling now in the off chance it might patch properly edit: So the initial install version this time has patched to 2.7, just installing modules now, will update when its complete. I didnt look last time so not sure if it had reverted to 2.5.6 or always was at 2.7 before modules the previous install

I'd love to go to 2.7, but unfortunately my game refuses to patch from 2.5.6 openbeta says im updated and current

Went to update 2.5.6, had a full drive. Uninstalled, reinstalled using the 2.7 beta download off the site on a brand spanking new nvme. Version that gets installed was 2.5.6. Update. Says patched. Repair, no issues. Patched to current. Force update, says patched to 2.5.6. Reboot, rinse repeat to same errors. AMD 2600X on MSI x470 gaming plus 64Gb ram 3200mhz Asus Geforce 1080gtx 500gb nvme OS drive 500gb Nvme drive for DCS Win10

Had a similar issue this summer. Check for a chafed wire in the right throttle, it will be around where the throttle rests on the cable at the pivot point. Be flying along, push to burner and my speed brakes would come out. TDC would randomly stop working
