  1. @coke23: yes, thanks! I've gotten a little further. The following is (at least on my machine) reproducable: 1. contact the FARP via radio and request land (and get ack) 2. land on any platform, the wingmen will follow, one by one (takes approx 5-10 mins) 3. re-arm/refuel in any manner you like 4. before you take-off, turn OFF your engines (left-hand red handles DOWN) and wait for all wingmen to spool-down their rotors 5. request engine-start, start, request takeoff (get ack) 6. takeoff and hover near by 7. watch with F2 the other wingmen - you will hear them eventually spooling-up their engines to auto and then take-off one by one haleluja!! expect the FARP visit to take 10-15 minutes! (argh!!)
  2. Hi, after landing, rearming/refueling on a FARP, any wingmen which landed will no longer take-off. They acknowledge all issued orders, but will not take off to fulfill them?! (DCS-BS 1.0.2 downloadable, english version). any ideas, how to get them to take-off again?
  3. Gauntlet hi, here's my 2 cent. I love that mission and gave it alot of tries. On approach to the FARP after stage 2 I was able to land all wingmen aswell (they land, one by one, while the others fly a holding pattern). They rearm as soon as they touch ground. Using F2 you can watch them (do this when on the ground yourself ;)). I also watched the Apache's like this and noticed how they saw the farp and shot a couple of hellfires our way, which killed each machine, one by one.... hmpf - so into the mission-editor I moved the farp somewhere else and there the wingmen don't takeoff anymore, once they landed, refueled and rearmed ARGH!!! this mission is so much fun, but unfortunately very tricky. I haven't found a good way (and the right ammo) to fight the apaches - does the KA50 not support A-A missiles??
  4. my 2 cents: since 215 is at a higher altitude you'll have a very hard time attacking the base. Fly all the way around the base and attack from the left, moving from distance to approx 7km through the forests (stay very low - NOE flight here so you and wingman don't get shot down). attack the bmp's and ground troops first as they are the biggest threat to you (tell wingman to attack anit-air targets). then move in for the rest of the stuff
  5. so is there a list of "working" FFB sticks which are available? I just bought the LT F3D and it just sucks in the game. If I'm going to buy one, I'd really like to know which one would get me the most bang for the buck. thanks!
  6. thanks, all!
  7. ok, thanks. I believe not all FF devices are equally usable for BS - thanks for the link, though! Nice videos on that page!
  8. these videos are just for the show. The guys move the stick around so fast and hit trim so rude, that the stick keeps moving. if you'd move a stick like that in a real heli or in the sim, you'd be grounded. I'd like to see what the HELO is doing, when they move around like that. Does is really PRECISELY stay on the position, or not? My FF locks SOMEWHERE NEAR WHERE I've placed it aswell, but not enough to keep the helo positioned.
  9. is that a fact? I haven't read about this in the other threads - in a quick scan through them
  10. Hi! I've watched Producer's Note 10 and found the trimming to work fine in the training-misisons, where the FF mode is not active (for some reason?!). But in instant-action and the campaign, the FF mode does not precisely "save" my position but instead it pitches a bit down and to the left. I am using the newly bought Logitech Force 3D Pro (F3D). I've tried tuning using the "Profiler" software by softening the spring-back but nothing really helps. This causes the "hover" A/P to always drift and within minutes of "hovering" (starting at 5 clicks from the target) I'm suddenly only 1-2kms away. Is this a problem of my FF joystick or something I am missing? I am not able to find any settings which relate to FF in game. Also when switching back and forth between "profiler" and the game (instant action) to fine-tune the settings, they do not seem to take affect until I exit and re-enter the game comlpetely.
