    Mission PDF location

    Might seem like a stupid question. Where do I find the location of the mission files of Raven one to print off? Nothing like paper in hand.

     

    Just want to read mission one to get a feel.

     

    Before that I really need to get back up to speed. Spent 20 minutes trying to land on the carrier with flaps up. Wondering why I couldn’t get on speed

     

    Not flown DCS for several months.

    Wow. I have the opposite experience to all of you. i didn't want to install it! but wanted to test A2G radar.

     

    MFD's are clear. The map view on the centre MFD is now usable. Before it was a waste of time. The cockpit is now clear as day. for me it was always a little dark.

     

    Only bug I can see is a massive bloom on the Carrier lights.

    Hi,

    Open up the command tool in Windows, then switch to your DCS/bin folder (e.g. "cd \Games\DCS\bin" or whatever your folders are called), then type either of the following:

     

    DCS_Updater.exe update 2.5.6.49798@openbeta

     

    OR

     

    DCS_Updater.exe update @release

     

    The first one brings you back to the previous version of open beta (which is what I did). The second one reverts you from open beta to stable (which is the same as the open beta 2.5.6.49798 ).

    After reading the many reports of the bug. I’ve decided to wait until there’s a fix.

     

    But I’m going to take a look at the DCS GUI utility tool by Skatezilla for future problems

    Totally agree. I just reverted to the previous version of 2.5.6.

     

     

    Doc or anyone.

     

    I really want to give this patch a go to try the A2G radar. But before I do. How do I revert back to a previous build?

    Don’t want to be left with an unflyable sim if it’s going to take time for a hotfix

    Thanks a lot your video tutorial worked a treat on the flap lever question I asked.

    Powerful software is at hand and your guides make it easy.

     

    To the OP and others. HC has a whole bunch of video tutorials available for VP products. Well worth a look to find a solution to your problem.

     

    I have the new T50cm-2 as you all do. But the software and solutions are the same.

     

    Minor difference in the new software is clicking on the PRO/LITE button top right corner rather than the READY button in the top left.

    Encoder on the right of throttle handle is my radar ant elevation control, on the left is my manual range knob (f-16, haven't used it for anything in the hornet yet)

     

    Two encoders on the base are for my heading and course knobs/switches.

     

     

     

    Found encoders to be more useful to me, I set up the flaps lever to be a 3 position switch for flaps instead of an axis and the ring finger slider axis is just a zoom.

    How do you change the flap lever from an axis to a 3 position switch?

    I too would like to use it as flaps.

    Same here.

    I’m wanting to use the flap lever as flaps. But it’s a slider....

    Also the 2 rotaries on the throttle as radar elevation etc. But they are encoders.

    Only had mine a day but confused.

    Hi,

     

    Now that we can program the jdam more accurately I thought I’d try flying one into the side of a building instead of the roof. A window if you like.

     

    But I noticed no difference in the terminal part of the flight. But now thinking back I pickled as soon as I got the range que. (IIRC I remember Wags saying the DLZ is not yet working for JDAM) And I think I was being optimistic by setting 30* vert flight.

     

    What are the parameters for the terminal part of flight and is it working?

    SAM templates. Default DCS location?

    A while ago there was an update that provided a few SAM site templates.

    While messing around in the mission editor (beta) I pressed a button in mission editor and all enemy SAM templates are missing.

    Tried DCS repair and it didn’t work.

     

    Where are the default templates stored please?

     

    I also have the stable version installed if I knew where the files were located I can then have a look in my other install (stable) and copy them over.

     

    Any help? Or maybe a mod that will give me more choice of template.
