I have studied the DCS F18 Hornet guide..I have looked at setup for Dummies (Youtube)..I am trying to setup from scratch..The categories are cleared except for keyboards and mouse..I set up my crosswind pedals to rudder and the tow brakes as well...(Axis)..Thats it...except the pedals are moving the stick and are not braking...The throttle (lft/Rgt) do nothing...is Axis the wrong place...? Just trying to get off the ground with the basics following the forums advice...Rudder/Flaps/Throttle/stick...baby steps :joystick:

Thanks for the insight...I have the Thrustmaster Warthog, TrackIR 5, MFG Crosswing pedals...Also have CG Fighter Stick and Throttle..(in the closet) !!!...Im biting at the bit...:pilotfly:

I come from FSX:SE, Xplane 11.26 and P3D4..I love the PMDG 737, and 747 (Lady of the Skies) and the Xplane P51 (Skunkcraft)..but found DCS World..Probably never goin back...

Ahhh..ok... Im not sure if its me or not but I have been agonizing over this silly decision for days...When I use the P51 on Steam it seems to load faster and has no jitters...The DCS (Open Beta) takes a tad bit longer to load and jitters a bit time to time....I think Im goig with the A10C as it has a tons of tutorials to help...and If I read it right the bonus bucks (DCS) can be used on another purchase (Hornet) down the road, unless there's a sale..BUT im a NAVY guy..!!!!!!:doh:

Since I am in the same boat and have not purchased anything yet....Freedom from what...??

As a newbie just learning...What is the proper etiquette to join a group in progress to watch and HEAR...?? Just join, or ask, or what...?? :joystick:

OK.....Im sold....I will purchase direct tomorrow morning...I only thought updating and D/Ling were faster and behind the scenes with Steam...I just dont want to do the FSX, Xplane thing again......Just one platform....Thanks a lot guys....

Gierasimov, I didn't purchase anything yet, as I wasn't sure how !!! I didn't want to make the mistake of purchasing direct thru DCS when I wanted it via Steam... Yurgon, thanks....I do get the "add to Basket" I will add it tomorrow morning.... Is there any way to tell when running thru Steam that it is in fact the open beta...(2.5.3...??) Thank-You gentleman.....

I have the direct open beta installed and can see the F18 Module on the bottom which I can purchase...In the Steam version, with the open beta checked and reloaded the F18 module is not visible to purchase on the opening screen on the bottom. I would prefer the Steam version, but again its not visible...Do I need to re-install...??
